I was on Amazon.com's website, and I came across a page saying Growing Pains will be released on DVD. There is no further info such as release dates, features, etc, but it had the year for 1985. I'm sure it's the first season. Here's the link:

Meh, you weren't the only one who thought it was the TV show. The Amazon page says that customers who viewed that DVD also viewed DVD sets of Who's the Boss?, Full House and Saved by the Bell: The New Class. :p

Yeah it is very misleading, but I checked with Gord Lacey at tvshowsondvd.com and he said it was the movie.
