Another thing that I disliked about Barney Miller were the characters; Hal Linden was as exciting as watching paint dry, and Ron Glass (Harris) was annoying and obnoxious.

Vice versa for me, I love Friends, but hate Seinfeld and definitely don't think it's one of the greatest shows in tv history, sorry :)

I think they're both fantastic shows (Seinfeld being the more creative and unique of the two) and definitely aren't worthy of being called overrated and dumb.

I think they are both very worthy of being called overrated, considering the fact that they both air close to ten times a day in my area, they've both won way too many awards, and just plain because I'm sick of people telling me that they are two of the greatest TV shows in history.

I'm sorry, but I have NEVER been interested in either one, and whenever I try to watch, I easily get annoyed and then turn the channel.

Seinfeld is not one of the greatest TV shows ever, IMO.

I agree. I never found Seinfeld anything but annoying. I just don't see the hype.

Exactly, which is why I was sharing mine. I wasn't trying to force my opinion on him.

to me Seinfield was virtually unwatchable, while Friends, Caroline In The City, and Veronica's Closet were all enjoyable treats.
