I love puppets!
I've always wanted to make my own puppet and make it well-known... locally, obviously...

I just like the idea of being able to make your own characters and ... I'll shut up, now. You all probably think I'm an idiot or something. :(

Does anyone here like puppets as much as I do?

Puppets kind of scare me.. anything with a fake-like appearance. Dolls, clowns, etc. :(

lol, it's okay! It all originates from a horrible experience with the movie "IT" in first grade :o

i hate dolls too. it seriously scares the **** out of me when i look at one for too long.

they kind of scare me too but i did use to like mr moose and bunny rabbit from captain kangaroo

I don't think you're an idiot. I love puppets too! It's fun to make them seem like they have a life of their own. I'm pretty good at it apparently, from what other people have told me when they've seen me working a puppet.
I've used them in a bunch of home videos I've made over the years, it's pretty fun!
I'd love to make my own puppets and use them in my own little movie or something.

i hate puppets. i hate being stared at with those beaty little eyes. they're scary, period.

I love puppets. I grew up watching Seseme Street and The Muppet Show, and at one time I really wanted to be a puppeteer.

Years ago when I was doing theater, I got my wish when I did all the puppet work for a production of "Little Shop Of Horrors." Man it was hard work, especially when you have to make a giant plant puppet sing along to some really up tempo music.

Still, it was great fun. I'm still in awe of the art of puppetry.

i heard that some of the muppets like kermit are made of felt . while others like miss piggy are made of foam rubber

My favorites are Alf and Kermit the Frog :)

But you're right about the foam rubber. That and a lot of fake fur and other fabrics make up a typical muppet.
