I love that place... last time I was there, I ate so much I thought they were going to have to roll me out the door.

I forgot what it's called, but I always get it... it's like the carb counters chicken? It's chicken with 3 different kinds of cheese and bacon on top, and it comes with 3 sides.. I like the okra, hash brown casserole, and carrots.

Once my family wanted to go out to breakfast, so my mom suggests "Lets go to the Cracker Barrel!". Everyone else in my family was really confused because we had never heard of a Cracker Barrel around here. But my mom insists that there is one and that she knows where it is. So we pile in the car and start driving. So we're driving and driving, and after about a half an hour there is still no Cracker Barrel in sight. But my mom keeps insisting that there is a Cracker Barrel on this road, so we keep on driving.

Needless to say, we never ate at the Cracker Barrel. After about an hour my mom goes, "hmm, I thought there was a Cracker Barrel on this road..." Haha, my mom is such a ditz.

That is funny Santa Sammy.

I sat by the fire there once and it was way too hot, but it smelled good. I dont remember what I had but it seemed to have come with a lot of side items which were good and there was a lot of food.

Yum!! I love CB! Hash Brown casserole. Double yum!! I can't think of anything on their menu I don't like. Maybe expect their liver & onions. I think that's on there. I also love their country store. I collect salt & pepper shakers and I always find the cutest shakers there.

OMG...their hash brown casserole is HEAVENLY. I am not one for casseroles but damn...this one does you in. Cooked to absolute perfection.

Plus..their gift shop steals my heart because they have awesome TV shirts you can't get anywhere.

I remember I found this really funny shirt one time that said BARBIE LOVES KEN and where it said LOVE, it was stamped out by the word DUMPED...so it actually read BARBIE LOVES DUMPED KEN. For some reason, I thought that was extremely hilarious.

I think I've eaten at a Cracker Barrel before. I can't remember. It's a buffet, correct? My mom and I took out a visiting Mexican friend of ours at some buffet around November 2004. That's been over a year ago, but I cannot remember which restaurant!

I agree with what those of you are saying about that hashbrown casserole. It sounds devine. Maybe I should eat there one of these days within the next two weeks.

I went there back in late June. I enjoyed it. ;) I got some sort of dish that had nothing but meat on it. I cant remember what it was called though.

Thank you for letting me know. ;)

Is it an overall expensive restaurant? Or, does it have moderate prices like Applebee's and Chili's?

we drove past the Cracker Barrel this morning... the place was so packed there were cars backed up into the street trying to get into the over-full parking lot.

Damn.... a long line JUST for that place? You'd think all their entrees are made of gold or something.

Okay, now I am definitely gonna have to check this restaurant out! It sounds quite popular. As far as I know, we only have one Cracker Barrel near some movie theaters. I always see it when I am passing through that way on the freeway.

I'm keeping this place in mind for sure and report back!

Okay, I am quite bored right now, so I thought I'd do some window shopping and check out The Cracker Barrel. I looked at the menu on their website, and they say they have lunch specials. I'm up for that!

I'll be heading out there soon. ;)

Thanks.

My report about the restaurant is average. I wasn't too impressed. I guess part of that was because my mood was inhibited after I needed to blow off steam over the let-down over my New Years' get-together. So anyway.... I tried the Chicken Pot Pie which was the special of the day on Wednesdays. I ordered that and a side of that hashbrown casserole. They were okay. I guess I am going to have to take a closer notice and visit there again. Maybe I needed another entree that's considered "very good?"

Although, I am starving now, and it's 11:29 p.m., and what I had for lunch sounds mighty fine delicious!

Another thing I noticed was how the entrance to the restaurant is also the entrance of their gift shop. Ahhh... now I know why someone here mentioned they bought something. Cute country/western-ish setup!

So yeah, I will visit there again. I went alone this time, but I ought to take my mom.

I don't particularly enjoy going there, but when I do, I love getting grits and okra and all the other good ole southern foods I can't find well made elsewhere in ohio.

Christmas Eve falls on a Monday this year, and once again I will be
at Cracker Barrel for our annual tradition. Our area Cracker Barrel
is located in Mineral Wells, West Virginia, a surburb of Parkersburg.

We have one about 6 miles from where I live, its right off I-24. We love to get their buscuits with saw-mill gravey for breakfast. But we don't eat out a lot for breakfast so we only go 2 or 3 times a year. Its always been good and we've never gotten ill from eating at the one here in our area.
