View Full Version : Will other seasons of Dallas be released and other nighttime soaps on DVD
Julius 12-22-2004, 05:11 PM Will the second and other seasons and TV movies of 'Dallas' be released on DVD soon? What about the other nighttime soaps like Dynasty, Falcon Crest, The Colbys, Paper Dolls, Melrose Place and 90210, will they be released on DVD, if so when?
spunkygirl 12-22-2004, 05:13 PM Dallas Seasons 1 and 2 are out right now, I think Season 3 should be coming out in the spring I'm sure.
I think eventually Melrose Place will be on DVD same with 90210, KL, The Colby's, Dynasty,etc......but I enjoy watching MP, KL, Dallas, etc. on Soapnet uncut :)

BTW They are not airing the soaps on SOAPNET uncut. The episodes you are seeing are from the syndicated versions which means some scenes or portions are cut out from the orginal network broadcast of a certain episode.

Nope, Soapnet airs all their shows uncut, Dallas fans have compared the show to when it aired on TNN and it's uncut, I've read that KL and all the shows are uncut, Melrose Place is, I watched it in the original run.
I don't know if Soapnet has the rights to the Dallas movies, that would be up to the company that owns those to release it on DVD.

I'm not sure about that because according to someone, the Seve Shaw Tribute on KL episode "An American Hero" has not been seen yet on SOAPNET the many times they have aired this episode. It airedwhen it was on CBS when the episode first aired. What about KL on DVD. Could you reply to the post on this DVD message board

Hmmm Soapnet might not have the rights to that episode for some reason, but some Knots fans have said that every episode has been shown on Soapnet in all the time it's aired on Soapnet.
I think Knots will come out on DVD eventually, I think Warner was waiting to see how well Dallas sold before they released it.
Julius 12-22-2004, 05:40 PM The episode has aired on SOAPNET but not the tribute. Are you saying that they skipped this episode in the past?
