Hi everyone. I had seen the Surviving Gilligan's Island movie from a few years ago, but I forgot it. I was reading an article and it said there was a scene where Tina told Dawn to trim her bangs. Can someone tell me the circumstances of that scene and how it was played about? It was the scene where the real Dawn came to talk to the actress who was playing her in the film..Also, what was the thing with cutting Dawn Wells out of the TV Guide Cover? If someone can tell me that would be great. Thanks.

I don't remember the Surviving Gilligan's Island movie,
but as for your second question, I know that Bob was pretty angry with TV Guide for cutting Dawn out of that picture. They had set it up to be a picture of Bob with Tina and Dawn, but when it came time for the picture to be taken, they for some reason instructed Dawn not to put on any makeup. Then when the issue came out, they found out about Dawn being cut out. Bob thinks that they wanted to add some sort of sexual tension between Ginger and Gilligan, and that is why they only put Tina in the picture with him.
Hope that helps with at least one of your questions.

About Dawn's bangs. In the movie,it's when Tina and Dawn were trying their clothes for the first time.Tina told Dawn that she didn't like the idea at all."Ginger wears bangs try something else".That took a while to get the right hair style. That's why to make the story short, the real Dawn enter and did the pigs tail for the girl who was playing her.The best style for Mary Ann.
