slackermonkey 12-19-2004, 07:25 PM I edited your post above.
savy333 12-20-2004, 12:11 PM I know! I am so excited to get my hands on this set in a few months. Really it is less then three months so it shouldn't seem that long. I remember how brutal the last few weeks before season 8 came out was. I hope this isn't that agognizing of a wait! BTW, I love Season Nine!!!
tiff7 12-21-2004, 04:18 PM Is season 9 the 1st season w/Emma?

Happy Holidays Y'all!!!!! :)
slackermonkey 12-21-2004, 07:26 PM Well, she was born in the 8th season finale, but season 9 is her first full season.
savy333 12-21-2004, 11:32 PM I don't think this season gets the credit it deserves. I would rate a lot of these episodes as some of my all time favorites. TOW the Lottery, TOW Rachel's Other Sister, TOI Barbados, TOW No One Proposes, TOW Emma Cries, etc. are all excellent! I love this season! I also love how Emma has a pediatrition named Dr. Weiner! I am like Joey- whenever I hear that I crack up!
slackermonkey 12-22-2004, 02:38 AM I thought season 9 was a great season at first, but a few episodes after Rachel moved out of Ross's apartment, things started to go downhill and we got some terrible storylines.

Speaking of which, when and why did Rachel move out of Ross's apartment? I forget! Is there any place which shows you where Rachel has lived throughout the entire series? She seems to have moved around the most.
slackermonkey 12-23-2004, 12:45 AM She moved out of Ross's because they started fighting again. See, Rachel had given her number to a random guy a few episodes earlier, by impulse, and regretted it. The guy called the apartment and Ross answered. He assumed she was starting to date again, thus neglecting the responsibility of a new baby. Then she kissed her co-worker right in front of Ross, while Ross was taking care of the baby. Ross confronted her, they fought and she moved back in with Joey out of spite.
As for who Rachel lived with...
Seasons 1-5: Monica
6.01-6.06: Monica
6.07-6.18: Phoebe
6.18-8.14: Joey
8.15-9.13: Ross
9.13-10.17: Joey
In 10.18, the morning after she returned from the airport, it's unclear if she was still living with Joey or if she was moving in with Ross.

Thanks for all the info. I guess I never really thought about it but she sure didn't live with Pheebs very long!
slackermonkey 12-24-2004, 04:09 AM By the way, listing 6.18 twice wasn't a typo. She moved out of Phoebe's and into Joey's in the same episode. Same with 9.13 - out of Ross's and into Joey's.
tiff7 01-05-2005, 04:49 PM Moving out of Ross apartment :(
Dr. Weiner-

P.S. Now that i think about it, i kind of like this new look! It looks like the forum on Friends Cafe! (if anyone else loves Friends, pm me so we can chat about it!) :)
musicradio77 01-08-2005, 12:34 AM I'm looking to get the season 9 DVD, but I have the season 8 DVD, the one that I got for Christmas. I'm also look forward to get seasons 1-7 maybe soon.
CarJackSnyder 01-10-2005, 09:54 PM I can't wait!! When season 9 comes out there will only one left till I have them all on dvd!! YAY!! :bouncers
Superbatboy 01-11-2005, 01:02 AM Season 9 was probably the worst, but I'll still get it just for the sake of my collection.
slackermonkey 01-11-2005, 02:59 AM No way is season 9 the worst. That honor would go to season 7, which, aside from the premiere and the finale, had almost no redeeming episodes.
Season 9 at least had some modern classics... "Phoebe's Birthday Dinner," "The Male Nanny," "Rachel's Other Sister," "Monica Sings," "The Lottery," etc.

Everyone has their opinions but how can you just ignore TOW the cheesecakes, TOW they all turn 30, TOW Chandler and Monica's Wedding, TOW Monica's thunder, TOW the cheap wedding dress, TOW they're up all night???? Yeah, season 7 wasn't the best by far, but IMO not nearly as bad as season 9.
Anyone also notice that the chemistry was SOOOOOO off during the 9th season??? Everything seemed so forced.
slackermonkey 01-12-2005, 04:28 AM Yeah, I know everyone has their opinions. I was just giving mine.
I didn't ignore "Monica's Thunder" and "Monica and Chandler's Wedding," in fact they're the two episodes I singled out from that season. And I said had "almost no redeeming episodes." Season 9 I felt was stronger and had better episodes, and I didn't notice any drop in chemistry.
CarJackSnyder 01-12-2005, 11:17 PM I don't think season 9 was the worst one either!! It wasn't the best one, but it has some really good episodes like TOW Phoebe's Birthday Dinner and TOW the Lottery!!
Edster2973 01-17-2005, 02:00 PM The show post-Season 8 was a little lack-lustre but that had more to do with the show not knowing when the final season was. Some of our favorite moments from the show came about from storylines that took time to develop, and yet how could the writers develop anything like that if they didn't know when the show was ending? It almost ended after Season 8, and then almost after Season 9... etc. I think any of us would have been hard pressed to come up with any decent material with the show's future being uncertain. In that light, Season 9 & 10 are definitely not my favorites (some of the comedy was predictable and a little tired), but I understand the circumstances that they were working under and I'm surprised the seasons were as good as they were. It's also a miracle that the show retained the complete original cast during its entire 10 year run. Most shows lose cast members due to film careers or contract disputes. Friends stands out for this and many other reasons...
