View Full Version : I was on TV, woohoo!!!!
Warm & Fuzzy 12-19-2004, 01:23 AM Welp, guys, I finally got my 30 seconds of fame!! A close-up of me and a group of my mates on Fifth Ave, collecting donations for The Red Cross and carolling to Christmas songs!!!! How exciting!!
But... I missed it!!!! Dammit!!!! Anyone in the city have tonight's Fox News caught on tape by any chance??
TheHappyBurgerMeister 12-19-2004, 03:38 AM Cool! I've never been on TV before. What city was this in? That's a nice thing you did, too.
Fleet 12-19-2004, 03:46 AM That would be fun to be on TV at least once!
Congratulations!
Unfortunately, I haven't had any TV news on today. But there's a chance they will run it again. I've noticed they run the same tape- especially on weekends.
ponytail 12-19-2004, 08:50 AM That's so cool! I've never been on tv before but my dad and brother were both on the local news.
Polniaczek033 12-19-2004, 10:46 AM That rocks.
G-Force Glockstar 12-19-2004, 10:50 AM Last summer in 2003, my Aunt and Uncle took me, my sisters, and a couple of my cousins to Michigan by the Sand Dunes.
This guy from TV interviewed us about something like what the 4rth of July is about.....I was too shy about it, and my cousin Ethan talked for the camera, but we missed him on TV too :(
-*Forever*- 12-19-2004, 12:13 PM Awww I wish I could have seen it, Chenny!! That's awesome :D
I was on TV once. My best friend's dad is friends with the current mayor of Syracuse, so he took us and a few of our friends to be in a commercial endorsing him before he got elected to be mayor. You could see me in the background - I looked so stupid, my hair was ALL over the place
Mossopp 12-19-2004, 12:19 PM I was on TV once. I was an extra on the Scottish soap opera (yes, we have Scottish soap operas! ) 'Take The High Road'. I was about 11 years old at the time.
Talk about embarrasssing!
PZelda 12-19-2004, 12:44 PM Hey, that's pretty cool, Jenny! :D
I've been on TV a number of times- last time was when my dad's store did a local commercial last year for Halloween and they asked me to be in it - I was a nun in it. But what's even more cool is that my family was on Trading Spaces Family recently. That was a really big deal for all of us. :)

That's still really cool! Not everybody gets to do that. Did you manage to get it on tape? ;)

It was the most annoying thing: I never used to watch that show but cos I was gonna be on it I started watching it so I could see the episode I was in. I watched it every single day for about 4 months and I didn't see myself so I thought "forget it - they must've cut me out" and I stopped watching.
I found out from my next-door-neighbour that the very first episode after I quit watching was the one I was in!
How's that for irony?!
Kay Scarpetta 12-19-2004, 01:33 PM LORNA!!! How ya been?! I was going to e-mail you sometime this week and see if you were still around
Anyway, that's awesome, Jenny! :D
Janet McFarland 12-19-2004, 02:06 PM That's so cool! :D My brother and my parents were on ABC news one time for a story about my brother's disease. They came over and they filmed us playing baseball in my backyard  Too bad I was cut out of it :( Ah screw ABC.

We sung carols for 4 hours straight, and handed out flyers, candy canes, cookies, and crackers to shoppers. I had a blast, even thought it was FREEZING, LOL. We were singing at the top of our lungs and we collected a LOT of donations. Tomorrow, I will be gift-wrapping presents for children struck by disaster so that they will have a happy holiday. It's a great organization. :)
snl75 12-19-2004, 04:34 PM i was interviewed once at a collectors show and the reporter asked me why i collected autographs and tv guides and things like that.

It was REALLY cool. The TSF crew came through my city in August for filming and they happened to be filming on my birthday too...Which was super duper cool. They taped my family's episode first, so it was the first episode from my city to be shown last month. They did 3 episodes all together here. :)
Brian Damage 12-19-2004, 05:09 PM If you need it, I'll record it for you. What newscaster did it?
TheGreatPretender 12-19-2004, 05:28 PM That's awesome. :D
I have only been on TV that airs in my local town station.

I get Fox 5 on Dish network! I never watch New York news through. That's cool though! I've been on channel 12 news when I was about 15, didn't see it though, and I also met everyone from WSAZ and we got to do a promo, but they never showed it  I sent an ornament to WCHS one Christmas and they said my name on TV :woohoo:
PZelda-You got to be on Trading Spaces?!!!!!?! WOW, which episode is it?!?! That's too cool.
Mossop-I think it's so cool that you got to be a extra. I would love to do that. I want to be on TV!
There's celebrities on this bored! :p
Janice 12-20-2004, 03:48 AM Good for you. Congratulations!

josie8940 12-20-2004, 07:03 PM That's very good. I been on TV only for twice. I was on TV, I think last month. Around November something. Anyway, That's cool you've been on TV. Though, I never even saw you on TV since I don't watch fox network.:)
