When does everyone open presents?

We usually open ours on Christmas Eve.

On Christmas Eve we open gifts from eachother. On Christmas morning we open gifts from my mom and dad. And we give our gifts to them.

Christmas Day, but we open presents from our parents on Christmas Eve. We've opened them all on Christmas Eve before many years ago, but I dont think we've done them all on the 24th since 1999/2000.

we each open one present under the tree on christmas eve. we do it right after dinner and every year i'm always waiting impatiently for my dad to finish brushing his teeth so we can go open presents.

I go to my grandma's on Xmas Eve and open half my presents there. On Xmas day, I go to my dad's and spend the day with him, THEN open my other half. :)

We do it on christmas day; not in the morning usually after supper but now that we are all a lot older we don't have much presents anymore and we're not all together much either.

Now, that my mom is sick with cancer; I don't think we will be celebrating it this year more than that. My sister and brother in law will be here on monday the 20th and they are leaving on the
29th so at least they will be here for christmas which will be nice but that's only because of our mom.

Christmas Eve with my parents, Christmas morning with my wife and kids, Christmas afternoon with the in-laws.

It was always Christmas morning with my family.
I remember sitting at the top of the stairs looking into the living room where the Christmas tree and presents were kept. We (myself and my two brothers) had to wait until our parents were up before we opened the presents.

There's a long-running tradition in our house that we open at 11:45PM on Christmas eve night. Not a minute earlier, not a minute later.

When I was growing up we always opened presents on Christmas Eve. My grandparents always came and spent the night and they would arrive on Christmas Eve with a trunk load of presents! How excited we were! If not for my grandparents we wouldn't have had much of a Christmas because my parents had 7 kids to support and not much money. My Dad would always put on his Santa Claus suit and appear with a sack full of presents! How exciting that was!We always opened presents on Christmas Eve because we had to go to church on Christmas morning and didn't have time to mess with it!:lol: But after I had my own family we waited until Christmas morning. So my kids always opened their gifts in the morning.

We get to open one on Christmas eve (except I get to open about 3 because I'm the youngest:lol: )Then on Christmas morning, we have to wait for my two older brothers to come over, then we have to wait until about 10:00 in the morning for my dad to get up!I'm waking him up at the same time I get up this year...About 6 a.m!;) :crazy: :lol:

We usually open them around 1 or 2 o'clock on Christmas morning, then we go to bed. We have Christmas dinner the
next day with my relatives and we all talk about the presents
we got. The little kids in my family play with new toys.

When I was much younger my parents used to let me open one present on Christmas Eve and then the rest on Christmas Day.

But, then gradually as I got older for awhile we got back into the tradition of opening them on Christmas Day. Last year my family opened gifts on Christmas Eve and we're planning to open gifts early this year, too. My dad was saying he was thinking of having family and friends over and opening gifts on Christmas Eve and he asked me if that was okay, and I just laughed and said , Well, yeah! :D I would never turn down an opportunity to open presents on Christmas Eve.

To me,Christmas is so silly.Because i am still with my parents at home,they play Santa to me,and because i am too old now,they have no idea what to buy me,so i end up going with Mum to get my christmas presents,and then we just wrap them up and put them under the tree,and i pretend to be surprised on Christmas morning!:p

We open most of them on Christmas Eve and some on Christmas Day when my sister and her family come over.

We usually open our presents on Christmas morning.. but sometimes we have company we open there gifts when they are here. This weekend we give out gifts to my sisters family & kids..

My sister and I each open one gift that we got each other on Christmas eve and then open the gifts our parents got us on Christmas morning.

Let's see...it's the Christmas that never ends...tonight we're having a picnic under the tree. We do that every year, not at any particular time and we eat dinner under the tree and my parents give us each a present. It's not really a Christmas present, they get us another present for Christmas, and then all that stuff from Santa ;). But yea, we're doing that tonight. Let's see, I open all my presents from my friends the day before break. I open a present from my grandparents on my dad's side and sometimes my cousins on my dad's side, if they decide that they feel like getting us a gift on Christmas Eve. I don't really care if they get me one or not, they don't know me, so it's always a very generic gift. Clutter, it's the thought that counts, but I always end up having that stuff lying around my room. We always get one from our Grandparents though. And then the other million presents being the spoiled kids we are we open on Christmas morning, and we open the presents from my OTHER cousins Christmas afternoon.

Like I said, it never ends ;)

My husband and I have always opened our gifts to each other alone, on Christmas Eve.
