Did Karly leave? I thought I read her posts recently. I could be wrong. I still miss Jenny, but we keep in contact via e:mail.

Only something like 7 or 8 members left. Compare that to the thousands who are registered and the hundreds who post regularly, and those few are a miniscule amount.

Well I'm sorry, and I didn't mean to be an ass hole about it, but half of your friends didn't leave. You noticed, but probably didn't think much about it. I wouldn't either if 10 people who I didn't talk to or didn't like decided to leave. So I felt like I was the only one left in my circle of friends, and it sucks. Not saying it's not their fault, because there were faults with both parties. But you'd feel the same way too if the situation was reversed. I only frequent this board and the random one. I usually don't go to any of the sub ones since my taste of music and sports are never talked about, so why bother?

Well that's a different story. I'm sorry you miss your friends, really. I was simply stating that the boards are not as dead as can be as you stated in your first post. The title of your thread was misleading, to me anyway. I think it's busy for a Wednesday night.

As much as some people would like to think SO will go under within a week without their presence, it's just not going to happen. If anything, I think it's heading in a peaceful direction. I'm in contact with many members who have expressed the same sentiment.

I'm here except for when I'm not...:lookaroun I've been here since 12/05/00....I think I was 16 when I registered here. Boy I've been here a long time!

Basically the entire amount of new registrations and posts has dropped steadily all year (and even going back to 2003). You would not notice much difference if a handful of people just left. I think the boards have just become stagnant and reached their peek, I will probably just try and promote them more (of course word of mouth doesn't hurt either).. and maybe upgrade and give them a new look after Christmas. It's odd that traffic to my sites has not really dropped, it's just the message board traffic.

hah, i've been keeping track of statistics on this board for months. currently, 49% of the posts here are on random, happy days, whos the boss, cheers or my favorite martian random threads. that doesn't even inculde the thousands upon thousands of pointless posts the games board, several useless/random threads on chit chat main or the "RATE THE AVATAR ABOVE...636th TIME AROUND!" threads.

and last time i checked, 20% of the members here have never posted and 42% have less than 10 posts.

I haven't been posting much for really no good reason. The weather has picked back up(snow threats in the South keep me glued to the computer), but there's really nothing else going on. Tomorrow is both sides Christmas get-together so I'll be gone all day. After that... really nothing else going on through Christmas. :)
