I don't know, I find Taye Diggs a bit hard to tolerate, like he's stuck on himself and trying to play off the fact that he's his biggest fan, but the basic premise of an African American male in his prime being a responsible guardian is certainly a lofty premise for a series. The legal setting seems to be a bit overdone though, reminds me of Ally MacBeal.

Considering what tv is now, all the elements seem to be in place for this to be a well received show, but it's just not my cup of tea. Also, I think this show seems more designed to appeal to female viewers.

I've watched only a couple episodes of Kevin Hill & i can't really get into it. I like his boss Michael Michele. She is hot. JamesAnthony did you know Nas dissed Taye Diggs on his new song Coon Picnic on his Streets Disciple cd? Nas dissed him cause he's married to a white woman. Nas also dissed Cuba Gooding Jr, Kobe Bryant, UPN network on the song.

I've heard that song from NAS, but NAS has his own problems- he's talented as a rapper but always looks blunted out of his mind. I could see why Kevin Hill would appeal to a lot of people- it's politically correct and many would consider Taye Diggs sexy or whatever- but it just strikes me as being a show aimed at female viewers or to be politically incorrect a "chick" show.

Nas definitely has issues. He's a ill lyricist but i haven't liked him since Illmatic cd cause he went pop. Kevin Hill show is for female viewers.

Well I am I "chick" (hence name) when I heard about the show I was a little skeptic at first but then really started to like it , Now as far as Nas goes I haven't heard "Coon Picnic" but since moving to the Bay Area I'm not able to hear many East Coast Rappers(meaning NY) and the 2 hip hop stations they have here isn't that great (jmo). I am however tired of people like Nas who judge people by who they choose to date nad marry. Personally don't care I feel like life is too short, be with someone who makes you happy as long as they treat you with respect.

Taye Diggs and some others are being threatened by some racist who has been sending hate letters. The trap that some African Americans fall into is thinking all whites are insensitive, which is not true. Every ethnic group has people who are not trustworthy from what I've seen.

I would be interested in seeing a series with well portrayed characters who come from a hip hop type of sensibility, maybe a dramedy, not something like Meth and Red but something with better writing.

Nas' comments about UPN have been going around for years, but there are some real infrastructure issues in the African American sociopolitical system and what gets on tv is just a reflection of a deeper human problem. I think race issues should be touched on in tv shows again, but in a sensitive sort of way, not just glossing over things like everyone is homogenized. I never saw Whoopi Goldberg's show from last season but it sounded interesting because it at least touched upon racial issues. I may not agree with all of her political views, but at least it seems that the show addressed certain issues rather than whitewashing over them.

Nas needs ta chill. My man is nice on the lyrics, but I could care less if Tye is married to a white woman cuz he can act and that's why I watch the show when I get the chance. If Nas has beef with Tye Diggs then watch some other show. Just like I turn the radio station when some wack rapper comes on, which is about 80 percent of the time. It's simple all ya gotta do is turn the nob. Kevin Hill is an alright show.

I agree, When was the last time you heard about Taye Diggs getting caught with drugs at the airport? Cuba smashing a champaign bottle over someones head at a club? Now granted that back flip thing at the awards show some years back he (Cuba) did have me going wtf, but still he is a decent actor and his dad is a Main Ingredient so how much of a "coon" is he really ?

We as black people need to stop harping on other black people for nonsense, Like how some people go on and on about Oprah Oh she lost all the weight now she changed, Oh she never comes to the community, on and on. This woman accomplished a lot and have givien alot considering where she started at. I also agree with jamesanthony they should make a show that really exploree this attitude but not in a buffonish way. Like you said more in a like Frank's Place sort of way,

Well i guess you gotta let people know you're black to get caught with drugs or fight somebody at a club hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Taye Diggs & Cuba Gooding aren't ignorant so therefore Nas has a problem with that. Now if you were to here about them doing ignorant things, then Nas probably wouldn't say nothin cause they would be acting black LOL. I think he dissed them because their women are white. If their women were black, he wouldn't have said nothin. Willie D of the Geto Boys said on Geto Boys Niqqas & Flies song, holla at a niqqa if you lookin for some negativity cause niqqas got plenty of it, i think they love it. That is so true. Ignorant blacks love to gossip about negative stuff all the time. You never hear ignorant blacks talk about anything positive. It's always dumb s**t. I could care less who Taye & Cuba are dating even though it would look good to blacks to see them dating their own people.
