It's Sunday, so I'm doing my ritual of looking at the ads that came in the paper. I'm thumbing thru the JCPenney ad and come to a couple pages of women's sizes (that's heavier ladies for those who don't know). But to me, these two models they were usingdidn't look like they were any more plus size than I am. They looked like they were wearing padding around their middles so that they "looked" heavier. Now why the hell couldn't they just get heavier women? There are plenty of attractive plus size ladies that could model. How rude.

You are correct that is a bunch of crap! I myself am plus size and it really pisses me off when they put these models in that are like a size 10. Believe me when a woman is plus size, she's not a size 10. They do it in Lane Bryant cataloges also. Lane Bryant is supposed to be geared toward women that are a lot heavier, yet they use women that are not plus sized. I look at those catalogs and think yeah that outfit does look great, on her! Put a woman that is my size in that outfit, and chances are it won't look that great. It's really depressing.

God, I hate the modeling industry. That is rude. :(

i was accepted to 2 or 3 modeling agencies within the past few years. i quit to work on a singing career though.
