Hey Everyone,

I e-mailed First Look Media a few days ago and asked them for the Segment Listings for Bizarre Murders and Physics. To my suprise they sent me back an e-mail, I thought everyone would want a early peek at the segments, so directly from First Look Media:

COLORADO COP KILLERS - On May 29, 1998, a hail of bullets killed Police Officer Dale Claxton as he sat in his police cruiser in Cortez, Colorado. Officer Claxton had just pulled over a stolen truck but as hewas checking the license plates, three suspects from inside the truck brandished automatic weapons and began firing, killing the officer instantly. UPDATE: On 11/22/99 UM received a call from viewer stating that a body found in the desert was identified as one of suspects.

BOSTON STRANGLER II - Was Albert de Salvo the real Boston Strangler who murdered 10 women in 18 months. Or was it a former cellmate of de Salvo's? De Salvo scheduled a visit with his psychiatrist and a Boston reporter during which he would "tell all," including his claim that his confession was coerced by the threat of the death penalty. But the night before, De Salvo was found stabbed to death in his cell.

TEXAS MOST WANTED - Edward Harold Bell regularly exposed himself to children and shot to death Larry Dickens, the man who tried to stop him. While released on bail, he liquidated and fled. UPDATE: A UM viewer identified him as businessman in Panama. He was convicted and received a seventy-year sentence.

TRAILER TERROR - Some time in the pre-dawn of a cold December morning, someone shot and killed Danny and Kathy Freeman in their rural Oklahoma home, then set that home on fire. Their 16-year-old daughter, Ashley, and her school friend, Lauria Bible, were also in the home at the time. But arriving police never found their bodies. Did the girls flee, or were they abducted? Did they commit the murders? Or did someone in the Sheriff's office do so, in order to keep the Freeman family from pressing a suit against the department?

BAD CHIEF - Greg Webb, police chief of a small town in Nebraska is wanted for the murder of his former girlfriend. UPDATE: Greg Webb was arrested by the FBI and Holly Hill, Florida P.D. in Jacksonville, Florida where he had been living for 6 years.

MARIE HILLEY - Marie Hilley was the quintessential pillar of the
community in Anniston, Alabama. Considered to be a perfect wife and mother, neighbors were shocked to discover she had been secretly poisoning her family with arsenic.

JOURNALIST'S MURDER - 44-year old investigative journalist, Dan
Casolaro, was found dead in the bathtub of his Sheraton hotel room in Martinsburg, West Virginia. His wrists had been slashed 12 times; there was a suicide note and no evidence of a struggle. The authorities concluded it was a suicide. However, many believe he was killed because he was investigating a secret cabal of government officials and members of organized crime he called "The Octopus." They also cite Danny's well-known, intense fear of the sight of blood which makes slashing his
own wrists highly improbable.

Disc 2
SCARED TO DEATH - Cindy James was found dead from a heroin overdose, with her hands and feet bound tightly behind her and a nylon stocking tied around her neck. Police psychiatrist said she suffered from multiple personalities and one of them killed her. Her father and others disagree.

MURDERED HEIRESS - In 1997, Greg Siner, a dog breeder, and his
companion, Gardner Young, bought a rural property on Rhode Island. They were aware of the mysterious disappearance of the former owner, heiress Camilla Lyman. A few months after they moved in, Siner noticed a strange smell in the kennel's septic system. Peering down into the shaft, he saw a skull. Recent forensic experts confirmed that the skull was that
of the missing heiress. Who killed Camilla Lyman and why?

UNICORN'S SECRET - Counter culture hero, Ira Einhorn, was convicted of the murder of ex-girlfriend, Holly Maddux, while released on bail he fled the country, living in Europe, primarily Ireland and Sweden. UPDATE: Ira Einhorn was apprehended on 6/13/97 in Champagne Mouton, France where he had been living under the name Eugene Mallon. SOLVED.

WOMEN'S PRISON KILLING - The 1984 disappearance of prison guard, Jesslyn Rich, and three years later, the controversial death of inmate, Teri Lucas, have led to allegations of corruption inside California's Frontera Prison.

SKULL DUGGERY - In June of 1990, patrons at the Casa Gallardo Mexican restaurant in Bridgeton, Missouri noticed a human skull in the bushes. Police found the skull to be of "recent origin" and bore the marking of an adult female. But with no crime to connect it to, the skull was placed on a shelf in the county morgue and largely forgotten.

BACKYARD BONES - On May 5, 1997, Monika Rizzo took a break from her job at the Dept. of Human Resources. She never returned. Police receive a tip that her bones are buried in the backyard. They search and find
bones, but they're not Monika's. Whose are they and where is Monika? A later search discovered more bones, including some that were Monika's. In all, nearly 300 fragments of human bones were found.

WORLD LEADERS - Case studies of diabolical minds like Adolf Hitler, Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gasey, and Pol Pot.

BURNING BED - On March 26, 2000, Megan Kristen Romero Curl, 26, opened her apartment door to her concerned friend and neighbor, at 2:20 am. The
friend could tell something was wrong. There was a strange man in Megan's apartment behind Megan. Megan said everything was all right, so the friend said goodnight. Two hours later, her apartment was on fire, and Megan was dead.

Disc 3
MISTAKE HIT - Don Devereux, a courageous journalist whose reporting threatened alleged mob figures in Phoenix, lived across street from Doug Johnston, who was mysteriously murdered. It was actually Don who received death threats, but because of their similar cars and houses, the wrong man might have been killed. Or it may have been a lethal warning to Devereux to back off.

FRIENDS TO THE END - Two teenagers were run over by a train on August 23, 1987. At first it was ruled an accident, and then later determined that the boys were murdered and their bodies placed on the tracks. Connections to drug trafficking were later revealed.

WHISTLE BLOWN - Nuclear plant employee Dave Bocks' remains' were found in the plant furnace. Some say that Dave Bocks was depressed and took his own life. But his family maintains that he was murdered to prevent him from blowing the whistle on safety violations and illegal radioactive dumping.

RICHARD'S RAMPAGE - Colleen Ritter has no idea just how disastrous it would be to call off her relationship with Richard Church. Church killed the parents of his former girlfriend Colleen Ritter after breaking into their Illinois home. Colleen and her brother survived the attack although Colleen received over 20 stab wounds. UPDATE: After 3 years, Richard was captured in a Salt Lake City fast food restaurant.

PLANE CRASH SABOTAGE - On December 12, 1985, 248 members of the U.S. Army's elite 101st Airborne Unit were killed instantly when their chartered Arrow Air DC 8 transport plane crashed in Gander, Newfoundland. Almost immediately someone left a message from the Islamic Jihad. Families are left wondering what happened. The U.S. Government has sealed the crash investigation records for 70 years.

BURNED EVIDENCE - Family and friends seek answers in the unexplained murder of an Oregon orchard farmer after local authorities destroyed what could have been crucial physical evidence. After his lifeless and mostly decomposed body was discovered on his bed, law enforcement quickly ordered the bed and bedding burned and destroyed. Then an
autopsy revealed that he was killed by three gunshots to the head.

JESSE JAMES HOLLYWOOD - Jesse James Hollywood, and four accomplices set out to settle a score with someone who owed Jesse over $36,000 in marijuana debt! The drug crew kidnapped the debtor's 15-year-old stepbrother, Nicholas, holding him for ransom. After holding him 5 days, the crew was unsuccessful in collecting the cash. Nicholas was bound, gagged, shot and buried in a shallow grave. While the four accomplices have been arrested, Jesse is still at large and considered armed and dangerous.

TWO MARY MURDERS - Mary Morris of Houston, was found in her burned out car, a murder victim, apparently killed execution-style. In this case, the police have a recording of her desperate 911 call from Mary's cell phone while she was being abducted. Three days later, another woman was found murdered in her car, also brutally beaten, in the same vicinity. And her name was also Mary Morris. Could the first Mary have died mistakenly at the hand of a contract killer, who corrected his error three days later?

Disc 4
BORDELLO MURDERS - On September 20, 1994, two prostitutes were found brutally murdered inside the New Life Massage parlor in Oak Grove, KY. The owner claimed that in exchange for "free services", certain members of the local police allowed the bordello to stay open. When she took her story to the city council, one of the female council members confirmed her story, after revealing that she too had worked there.

CAMPUS MURDER EXPOSE - Vincennes University journalism student, Brook Baker was murdered after she began working on an expose about a date rape alleged to have occurred at a fraternity. She told police a fraternity member had threatened her. UPDATE: Brian Jones, a former Vincennes University student, was arrested for the death of another Vincennes coed, Erika Norman, in July 1999. Jones was sentenced to 60 years in prison for Erika's murder as part of a plea agreement in which
prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty if Jones was convicted for the death of Brook Baker. He was found guilty of killing Brook and was sentenced to life in prison.

DAKOTA'S DOUBLE DEATH - Three young friends found themselves in a terrible accident when their car jumped the highway and came to rest in a ditch. By the time help arrived, two of the victims, 20 year old Arnold Archambeau and his girlfriend, 19 year old Ruby Bruguier, had mysteriously wandered off. For three months there were no signs of the young couple. Then, on March 10, 1993, the body of Ruby Bruguier was found floating in the ditch, just 75 feet from the crash site. The next
day, Arnold's body turned up a few yards away. However, the two bodies were in very different states of decomposition. Police are convinced that the bodies were not there at the time of the accident.

MARGO FRESHWATER - For thirty years Margo Freshwater, a convicted murderer, has been running from the law. She went on a killing spree with her boyfriend's attorney and was sentenced to 99 years. UPDATE: Because of inquiries from Unsolved Mysteries, the FBI began searching
for her through records and found her in Ohio. She is now back in
prison.

ZODIAC / UNABOMBER - A generation ago, the Zodiac killer terrorized Northern California, striking at random, taunting police and taking at least five lives. Now there is speculation that he and the Unabomber might actually be the same person.

THE OTHER INTERN - Chandra Levy disappeared...but two years earlier two women with similar physical characteristics, who had also been interns, also disappeared, leaving some to wonder if there is a serial murderer on the loose.

SOCIAL SECURITY MURDER - Julius Patterson and his girlfriend, Paulette Hite, killed two people, including Patterson's own sister, in order to get their social security benefits. UPDATE: A viewer tip called in to the telecenter provided authorities with Hite's current alias.

CIVIL RIGHTS MURDERS - In 1965 Deputy Sheriff Oneal Moore & partner were gunned down while on duty in Louisiana. They were the only black members of the Washington Parish police dept and the crimes were potentially Klan related.

CAMPUS CALAMITY - After receiving threatening phone calls, 18 year old Bryan Nisenfeld disappeared from his college campus. While searching for Bryan, his mother and father received phone stating that someone knew exactly what happened to Bryan. Later that summer, Bryan's foot (detached from his body) was found on the beach. No other remains were found. Was it murder, suicide or an accident?

They are putting a little note on the cases that have been solved and updated.

Am I the only one a little disappointed by this lineup? A good chunk of these stories are CBS and Lifetime incarnations, which, in my opinion, was when UM was at it's crapiest! Some stories they should have included:

Norman Ladner
Eric and Pam Littleton Ellender
Matthew Chase
Kurt Sova
Patsy Wright
Gus Hoffman
Kurt Mcfall
The brutal Rhode Island attack (Doreen Picard)
The Canadian rest stop killer
Rachel Runyan
The 3 Signal Mountain ATV riders
The I-70 killer
Jeremy Bright (techically missing, but I'm sure he's dead)
Kathy Bonderson
Aileen Conway
Ralph Probst

and countless others.

Anyone else with me?

The Legends set sounds pretty cool! I wish they had put some of the older cases on the Murders DVD. Many of these are from the period after 1994. The best Unsolved Mysteries was 1987-1993.

That highly anticipated Bizarre Murder's DVD sounds very weak =/ Surely the most bizarre murder for me involved Russell Even's who family say he was beaten to death whilst the authorities say it was a hit-and-run. Well that's the one which stands out in my mind. How authentic is this information? We can only hope they release more volumes in the future. And I agree, Legend's sounds pretty good. I'd buy it just for Alcatraz and Bermuda Triangle alone.

I couldn't agree more. I'm totally bummed that they are giving us the CBS/Lifetime garbage. Looks like I won't be buying any of the DVDs now except "Legends".

Do you think the Alcatraz story will be the 90 minute live broadcast version? I doubt it, but it would be cool.

It would also be cool if they added the second lesser known report on the RFK assassination conspiracy as well.

Well first off, again how relieable is that listing? Let's assume it's genuine, then the more I look at it the more dissappointed I am. Looks as though they given us a decent DVD title and then sticking us with crap. Even some newer murders like those 2 twin girls killed in a house-fire but later revealed they actually died from shotgun wounds isn't on that list. Neither is that guy who was found dead in his garage from exhaust fumes that his mother is convinced was murdered are both bizarre enough but neglected.

Anyways, they have to fill 6 hours on "Legends" with something. I thought they might throw in some buried treasure stories, looks like maybe they wont so I am hoping we get the full 90mins on Alactraz. At least that was interesting (from memory).

Still hoping that further (early) Unsolved Mysteries is released sometime in the future.... =(

Here is the full listing for Physics, due out the same day as Murders. I also have the full listing for Legends, as I only posted the titles, so if you want me to post the titles and descriptions for that one, let me know.

Disc 1
LIFE AFTER LIGHTNING - Best Selling author Dannion Brinkley was struck by lightning, was declared dead and had a vivid near-death experience which profoundly changed his life. The experience transformed him from a self-confessed bully into a Good Samaritan who volunteers at hospices. He was also imbued with startling psychic powers that have allowed him to predict 117 future occurrences.

PIX OF THE DEAD - British artist Coral Polge claims to have the
supernatural ability to draw portraits of dead people without having prior knowledge of what they looked like. The likenesses that she seems to create out of thin air exactly resemble dead people she never knew. Is it just an exceptional artist with keen sense of perception or do her drawings actually come from beyond the grave?

RAINBOY - Mysterious streams of water that materialize out of thin air and defy gravity, strange odors, and other phenomena terrorized Don Decker and those around him. Paranormal investigators speculate that a disembodied spirit may have manifested the strange activities.

REINCARNATED SUBMARINER - While under hypnosis, Bruce Kelly was overwhelmed by vivid images of the death of an American sailor, James Edward Johnston, during World War II. An investigation revealed that Kelly's visions were uncanny in their accuracy and eerie evidence of reincarnation.

JAMES VAN PRAAGH - Renowned psychic James Van Praagh is a psychic who can contact the spirits of the dead and convey their detailed messages to those they left behind. Family members are astonished that he can give specific, personal details about departed loved ones without having met them.

EPILEPSY POOCHES - Some dogs have the uncanny ability to sense when their owner is going to have a seizure.

PLATEAU VISION - A soft spoken cowboy named Randy Spears had a vision of Millie McGregor, a missing person who was lost in the Sierra Nevadas. For hours, countless Search-and-Rescue teams had failed to locate her, but Randy found her and brought her to safety.

Disc 2
GEORGE ANDERSON - Psychic George Anderson amazes an audience of people he'd never me before by communicating with their dead relatives and accurately describing events and characteristics of complete strangers. Many of his revelations about their deceased love ones brought witnesses to tears.

TWINS - Study of the amazing personality similarities and possible
psychic abilities shared by twins. Even when they are raised in
separate environments, they still manifest common traits. Medical science can't explain these phenomena.

SUDDENLY PSYCHIC - John Holland and Elizabeth Joyce are profiled as people who were nearly killed in terrifying car accidents and, at that moment, suddenly became psychic.

BIBLE CODE - Is there a code in the Bible that predicts future events? Author Michael Drosnins describes the theory in his best selling book that translates sections of the Old Testament into predictions of the future. Drosnin cites Old Testament passages which predicted the assassination of JFK, the Oklahoma City bombing, among many others.

STORM IN HELL - Atheist, Howard Storm, had a near death experience that brought him straight to hell instead of to the warm light. Howard then left his university teaching job and attended a Methodist Seminary.

POW DREAM - During the 1991 War with Iraq, a man has dream about his buddy who was a POW in a prison near Baghdad. In it, he experiences the confinement down to the tiniest detail, all of which were true, as he found out three months later when they were re-united.

MURDER PREMONITION - Etta Smith experienced a haunting psychic vision describing the scene where nurse, Melanie Uribe, was murdered. She found the body with such accuracy that she became a suspect. She was later absolved.

LOTTERY MIRACLE - Sam Zelikson wins the lottery by purchasing a number told to him by his son in a dream. His son had died several years before the lottery.

Disc 3
ELECTRIC LADY - As a child Jeanine Price had baffling experiences in which objects around her would fly across the room and perfectly normal appliances would suddenly explode. Then, she had the disturbing premonition she would someday meet a sister she didn't know existed and that the sister would die of a brain aneurysm. Sadly, it all came true.

REINCARNATION - Georgia Rudolph believes she is the reincarnation of Sandra Jean Jenkins of Newport, Ohio who died in 1914 when she drowned in a lake after her boyfriend Tommy Hicks died. At an Ohio cemetery, Georgia found the tombstone she saw in a dream. UPDATE: After airing, 36 yr old college professor named Jack came forward saying he was
reincarnation of Tommy Hicks.

DOROTHY ALLISON, POLICE PSYCHIC - A Nutley, New Jersey housewife uses her psychic sense to help police solve murder and missing person's cases. In one, she helped solve the case of a 19-year-old murder victim by identifying her killer and scaring a confession out of him.

MOTHER'S INSTINCT - Do some mothers have a telepathic or psychic link to their children? In the cases profiled, mothers report incredible psychic intuitions of their children in danger that turned out to be true.

TWIN ESP CONNECTION - Science can't explain the mysterious bonds that link identical twins. Why is it that twins separated at birth and raised in very different environments exhibit so many likenesses? How is it possible that one twin feels pain when the other is suffering? How can twins have telepathy that other siblings simply don't have?

AFTER DEATH VISITS - According to a noted medical researcher, 7 out of 10 widows say their spouses have come back to visit them after death. Two astonishing cases are profiled which suggest these visitations are not merely hallucinations.

Disc 4
PAST LIVES - Barbara Sharon consulted hypnotist about her weight and diet, and while under hypnosis Sharon recalled past life as a WWII seaman John Gillespie, stationed at Pearl Harbor who died aboard battleship USS Nevada in the Dec. 7 attack. The numerous details of the deceased sailor's life, that she recounted 50 years after his death, have been verified.

INCREDIBLE JOURNEYS - In 1992, a black cat named "Nova" and a collie named "Lady" each became separated from their families. Remarkably, they both undertook extraordinary journeys, traveling hundreds of miles through unknown terrain to make their way back home to their owners.

PSYCHIC DETECTIVE - Psychic John Catchings helped police with clues to case of Sherry Eyerly, murdered while at her job delivering pizza. John led police to Darryl Wilson who later committed suicide.

LIFE AFTER LIFE - Several chilling cases of near death experiences are explored.

POWERS OF MISS KATIE - Florida housewife Katie has amazed both witnesses and researchers with her predictions of the future and by producing gold and gems out of thin air.

DREAMS COME TRUE - According to dream researchers, 1 in 12 people have had dreams that have apparently foretold the future. One college professor believes a dream about a car accident saved his life when he encountered the exact same situation.

SILENT WITNESS - Nancy Myers, a psychic investigator, employed her abilities to find the killers of Jennifer Odom. Many of Nancy Myers' visions have been substantiated by law enforcement.

:barf:

Hopefully we'll get another Murders set out one day with the other cases.

I really want an Unexplained Death/Missing Persons DVD. I don't care for UFO's, Ghosts, Miracles. Psychics, or Legends(although it has some of the best cases so I'll probably end up getting it).

Anyone else with me?

No and Yes!!

I was eagerly anticipating this DVD release, and now I'm rather passive regarding it. There are a few segments that I want to see: "FRIENDS TO THE END", "SCARED TO DEATH" and "WOMEN'S PRISON KILLING" are all cases that I have never ever seen and all of which have been discussed many times here, and "WHISTLE BLOWN" is one case that I haven't seen in years. Most of the other segments are from 2001-2002 and pale in comparison to older, ignored cases.

I think I'll just wait until April and ask for it for my birthday. ;)

Here is the FULL listing for the last set "Legends". Again, this came to me directly from First Look Media.

Disc 1
ELVIS'S LAST NIGHT - On August 16, 1977, Elvis Presley's life came to an end. Some say he died of a heart attack. However, his friends reveal that at the end, Elvis was taking three sets of uppers and downers every day. One the day he died, he disappeared into his bathroom at 9:30pm and, it was discovered later, took three sets of his drugs at the same time, including large dosages of codeine and Demerol. Elvis' stepbrother believes he committed suicide.

BRANDON LEE - The son of Bruce Lee died in a shooting accident on the set of a movie - Was Brandon a victim of the Lee family curse or just bad luck?

ELIOT NESS - Eliot Ness investigated a series of grotesque murders in Cleveland from 1935 to 1938. Twelve mutilated bodies of transients and prostitutes were dismembered with surgical precision and no suspects were found. This is the only case Ness never solved.

HOLY GRAIL - There exists in present-day England a chalice known as the Nanteos Cup that some believe is the true Holy Grail, the cup from which Jesus drank at the Last Supper.

AMELIA EARHART - We take a look at the disappearance of the famed aviator and examine several theories as to what happened to her. Some eyewitnesses in the South Seas say she was a prisoner in a Japanese POW camp until she was executed for supposedly being a spy.

ALCATRAZ - In 1962, three Alcatraz prisoners escaped from "The Rock" in a homemade raft and were never seen again. Did they die in the icy waters or make it to land? Recently, eyewitnesses came forward to reveal they turned up in Florida. One of them sent a postcard that says: "Gone fishin'" Also, Robert Stack tours the prison and profiles some of its most notorious inmates.

Disc 2
NOAH'S ARK - Recently two research expeditions have combed the mountains of Ararat in Turkey and both believe they have located the remnants of the Noah's Ark.

MARTIN LUTHER KING - Did James Earl Ray really kill Martin Luther King? He claimed his own attorney had coerced him into a confession. Evidence by independent researchers supports allegations of conspiracy and raises questions of a cover-up by government investigators.

BIGFOOT II - Noted adventurer and explorer Peter Byrne leads an
expedition into the Oregon backwoods to prove whether or not the fabled creature exists. Infrared cameras mounted on helicopters search for and find tantalizing evidence.

SONNY LISTON - Boxing great Sonny Liston died 1/5/71 in Las Vegas from what authorities concluded was accidental heroin overdose with several needle marks on his arms. However, both Sonny's wife and his trainer have said they never knew him to take drugs, and that he was terrified of needles. Many believe he was murdered for refusing to throw a fight.

WHO KILLED SUPERMAN? - In the late 50's, police found the body of George Reeves sprawled across the bed in his Hollywood hills home with a single gunshot would to the right temple. Was the death of the star of the "Superman" television series a murder or a suicide? At the time, he was caught in the middle of a double love triangle that would have shocked his fans.

BILLY THE KID - Some people believe that Billy the kid wasn't actually killed by Pat Garrett - that he lived in relative obscurity as "Brushy Bill" Robert. Historian William Tunstill examined the claims and concluded that it was actually Billy's partner who was shot and killed in 1881.

BC SEA MONSTER - Near Cadborro Bay, Canada, fishermen and residents had been sighting Cadborosaurus, or "Caddy" for short, a sea monster that resembled the prehistoric plesiosaurus. Then, butchers found the carcass of a creature resembling a sea serpent in the belly of a gigantic whale.

Disc 3
ELVIS'S TWIN - Few people know that Elvis Presley was haunted his entire life by the specter of his dead twin brother, who died in childbirth. Peter Whitmer has studied the psychology of twins, and believes Jesse's death had a profound effect on Elvis and was the driving force behind both Elvis's creative genius and self destructive tendencies.

YETI - After years of leading expeditions to the Himalayas in search of the Yeti, Tom Slick Jr., Texas scientist and businessman, believes he's found conclusive evidence to prove its existence.

DB COOPER - In November, 1971, a soft-spoken man in a plain business suit and known only as D.B. Cooper hijacked an airliner, forced it to land, and released the passengers. Claiming his briefcase was a bomb, he forced the crew to take off again and then parachuted from the rear door of a plane over Washington State, along with more than $200,000 he had extorted from authorities. The FBI said he perished in the wilderness,
but there is ample evidence suggesting that he survived.

HUEY LONG - 26:04 - Six decades ago, Senator Huey Pierce Long of Louisiana, one of the most powerful politicians in America, was
murdered by an assassin's bullet. Dr. Carl Austin was accused. A new examination of the evidence, including the alleged murder weapon, led to the conclusion that Huey Long may have been accidentally shot by his own bodyguards.

WHO PLUGGED BUGSY? - Bugsy was celebrated for his matinee idol good looks and his occasionally white-hot temper. After he was assassinated inside his girl friend's posh Beverly Hills home, several suspects emerged: Meyer Lanksy, Lucky Luciano, and even his gorgeous girl friend, Virginia Hill. However, the case was never solved.

JOHN WILKES BOOTH - Some people believe that John Wilkes Booth was not shot, and someone else was buried in his place. The fugitive, who was killed in a Virginia Tobacco Farm that had been set on fire, had red hair and freckles; however Booth, who had been called "the handsomest man in America" had dark brown hair. I'll say it again, that Legends DVD is going to be awesome. I always liked the Elliot Ness case.

I'm a little miffed about the selections as well. I too am looking forward to "Legends". But there are some stories that aren't in it. What about Stonehenge? Thats a myth and folklore tale that its a legend. What about the statue heads of Easter Island? What about the Loch Ness monster? So that one b&w photo of the monsters head out of the water was revealed to be fake by the photo taker in his deathbed(UM also updated that story with that news), but the myth of Loch Ness is still very legendary. I agree with another poster about the treasure stories, historical myths/folkore tales? Why are they missing? Whats with Bigfoot II? I assume thers a Bigfoot I and why isn't it in there?
The murders set dissapointed me with the ommision of "Son of Sam". I mean that had deaths and all, was very scary to watch from the reenactments.
Wonder if we could email First Look Media or Meurer/Cosgrove productions and let our voices and choices be heard about these sets. These sets are so incomplete without these stories. Like are there going to be anymore sets after the initial six? Or is this it?

I was thinking about doing this too.

Some of the segments I would have liked to have seen on Bizzare Murders:

Dr Jeffery McDonald
Donnie Hanson
Kennith Ingy
OJ Simpson
Son of Sam
Dale Kershatter (sp?)
Adam and Elane Emery
Martha Moxley

As for Legends, I thought for sure that the Loch Ness Monster case would be on there. As stated earlier, the photo was proven to be fake, and as John Cosgrove stated on one of the other sets, they only wanted to include cases that had multiple witnesses and a great deal of proof.

As for the Murders set, my guess is they wanted to put recent cases more than the older stories, as the more recent cases would be a little more fresh in everyone's mind. They seem to want a young look to the sets, for example using the more recent Lifetme opening and graphics.

although I'm not surprised at all, I was hoping that the 2pac segment would show up on the Legends dvd :(

I'm a little stumped about the odd story here for Legends. The Elvis' last night is very strange to me. Whats so legend about it? I mean isn't it more fact? The last poster mentioned about Tupac. But how is he a legend? Shouldn't it be in the Murders set? The one that fits it perfectly is the Death of Superman. Because you don't know who did it or why. But it too could've been in the Murders set.
When I see some of these stories between all the sets now, I sometimes wonder why they aren't in another set. Like Stonehenge could've been in Legend, but also could've been in UFO. I don't remember it in that set other than it being mentioned.

What about some of the other Bigfoot segments a.k.a Pikes Peak area. And, what about the segment of Chucacabra?????

You know, they left some key segments off of the Ghosts set and now the legends. Instead, some non-legned non ghosts are on those sets.

Oh and what about "The Gurden Light?" That is a creepy legend.

It really is a shame!

[B]POWERS OF MISS KATIE - Florida housewife Katie has amazed both witnesses and researchers with her predictions of the future and by producing gold and gems out of thin air.[B]

Do you guys think this is the segment about the lady who sheds gold? This is from the Physics set.

I wish we could convince Cosgrove/Muerer to release another murders set.

Aww,I thought Chubacabra was on that list for Legends. I look
back and it ain't. The previous poster makes a good point out about this one as well.

This Bizarre Murder involved a college student who found out information about students at the college he was attending.

He was later found dead in his bedroom of his parents house and they said it was suicide, although the way the body was positioned it was definitely murder.

Neighbors also saw a car circling the neighborhood erractically hours before the murder.

I thought it was a very creepy episode and should have been included on the murders dvd set.

Member crystaldawn posted this:

Yes, I remember the story well. The boys name was Tommy Burkett. His parents have founded an organization (PACC, I think) and they have a website that talks about his case:

http://www.thepacc.org/PACC.html

Before you click on it let me warn you, there is a disturbing picture of Tommy on the page that I don't remember seeing before. He has some obvious trauma to his face and he appears to be wearing a suit, so maybe it was taken in his casket. I just wanted to warn you guys in advance.

This episode is so creepy and bizarre that it should have definitely been on the Bizarre Murders DVD

I can't believe they didn't include the John and Linda Sohas (sp?) case on the bizarre murders. The Sohas's disappeared after allegedly getting jobs with the government. They were supposed to go to New York City, but a post card was later received from Paris with an ominous message. John Sohas's mother acted very odd when comfronted. Supposedly, a man living on the property, Christopher Chichester (alias) had something to do with the disappearance ... the bones of John Sohas were found in the backyard ...

justins5256, I was thinking the same thing about the murders set, that these were from the Lifetime and CBS years. I think the NBC years were better. I know that John Cosgrove and Terry Muerer hand picked these for the sets.
Sonny Liston had a segment? I don't remember that one. I might have to buy the Legends set too it's got some pretty good segments on there.
