I don't think there is enough evidence for him to get death.

he shouldn't get death penalty because he's being killed for being a killer. then he'd be dead and wouldn't have to suffer for his wrongdoings.

I think in some ways he might have suffered more with a life sentence. The other inmates would have really nailed him and he would have had to deal with his conscience the rest of his life. This way it be fast and painless, unlike what he did!

Scott would have been in protection if he got LWOP so it doesn't really matter.

I think if I were him I would still prefer a fast painless death, but as you say it doesn't really matter. The jury did their duty!

Wow, what suffering. Isn't the lethal injection like putting him to sleep? Painless?

Anyway, I think it's sad they gave him death. There really wasn't enough evidence, but I guess that's the way it goes. Maybe they will change it.

I agree. I would rather he have to live with what he did for the rest of his present life. Isn't the final decision in the judge's hands? I thought I heard in February the judge will decide whether Scott gets death or life without parole. I think Scott should have gotten life without parole. Putting people to death is like putting them out of their misery. Besides a lot of people on death row aren't put to death right away, anyhow. Waiting for Scott's death penalty to take place is probably even worse than to just know whether he gets life in prison or death. At least there is some justice for Lacy and her baby. I'm glad to see that Scott got convicted.

That's very true! From what I have always read, circumstantial evidence is just as good as direct evidence, and there was more than enough to convict!

Personally I don't believe in the death penalty, but I am glad to see that justice seems to have been done. I'm watching the interviews with three of the juriors right now. They all seem to be very honest and saddened people who were very sorry to have to come to the decision they came to. I think he got a very fair trial, with some honest people judging his fate.

I don't get a thrill out of seeing people die what a stupid comment to make. I get a thrill when I see justice done unlike the pathetic OJ trial.

I'll be an old man before he's put to death, if ever is. I personally think life sitting in a cell to think about what he did is more fitting here. He'll be wishing they would kill him.

I heard that the judge will announce the final verdict in a couple weeks, the judge could change it and give him life in prison without parole.

The jury only recommended the death penalty, hopefully the judge will go along with that

True. Gone are the days where death meant pain and people feared it. Today its a needle in the arm...

I think by doing this they're punishing his parents and his family more than him. But that's just my opinion. Anyways, if what you all say is true, it's not going to happen for a long, long time. He'll have all those years to sit in his cell, and think about what he did. If he's lucky he'll remember to get his soap on a rope ;)

Personally, I don't think he'll last long in prison. The horrific nature his of crime doesn't sit well with even the most hardened criminals.
