Chrissy would still be a secretary, at least until her job is outsourced to India. She then gets a job as a greeter at Walmart!

Jack would be a head chef in a prestigiuos NY restaurant and occasinally appearing on the "Iron Chef"!

Janet would be the VP of a national chain of flower shops!

I like how you think brasspounder.

Terri would've gotten tired of being bossed around and harassed by some incompetent, lecherous male doctors so she went back to school and became a doctor herself. Dr. Terri Alden has a successful private practice.

Cindy is a veterinarian who is married to an accident lawyer. ;)

As for a brand new cast having the same living arrangement as the original; I don't know. I think people are more open-minded in major cities these days. I don't think a landlord today can impose his morals on his residents. Does anybody know of the legal ramifications (in this day and age) of a single [straight] guy living with two single [straight] women in an apartment? Can a landlord legally say no to such an arrangement?

Also, for the new show to work there has to be a source of humor. Re-hashing the same storyline might not work for today’s audiences. A faux gay male living with two straight women has been done already. There has to be a source of salaciousness and pushing the [current] moral envelope like the original did. Maybe this time around the women would have to pretend to be gay while the guy can stay straight? Maybe that way the women can claim sexual orientation discrimination if the landlord tries to throw them out if they bring a guy to live with them? A source of comedy in the new show could come from the women having to pretend to be homosexuals this time around.
