From a November 17th article:
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) All of this talk of FOX's June schedule and FOX's September schedule and FOX's November schedule appears to have been moot, as the network is in the midst of its annual slide into fourth place. FOX's only truly important season begins on Tuesday, January 18 with the long anticipated (by FOX, at least) premiere of the fourth installment of "American Idol."
The new "Idol" season can't come soon enough for FOX, plagued with one big, fat, obnoxious disappointment after another. The talent show's two-hour premiere will air on Jan. 18 and will begin a month-long overview of the audition process, highlighting the events leading up to the show's first live episode on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
Over three consecutive Tuesdays (Jan. 18 and 25 and Feb. 1) and three consecutive Wednesdays (Jan. 19 and 26 and Feb. 2), "American Idol" will offer the standard audition episodes from Cleveland, St. Louis, Washington, DC, New Orleans, Orlando, Las Vegas and San Francisco. Viewers will get their first glimpses of the season's most talented performers, but they'll also get to watch a slew of horrible auditions and listen to the usual litany of hilarious abuse from the judges. Who cares about meeting the next Kelly Clarkson when you can meet the next William Hung?
As a rule, the Tuesday episodes will start at 8 p.m. ET and the Wednesday episodes will begin at 9 p.m., but since FOX has been known to extend, expand and juggle "Idol" coverage, always check your local listings.
On Feb. 8 and 9 and then Feb. 15 and 16, clips from the already completed semifinal phase will lead into the first part of the Round of 32, when viewers finally get the chance to vote for their favorites.

American Idol is nothing compared to Fame Story. Too bad America doesn't have a Fame Story.
In case any of you were wondering, Fame Story is a Greek American-idol type show. Except its MUCH better.
First of all, The Live show is 3 hours long as opposed to American Idol's one hour. They actually sing the entire song, and also, each performance is very different. I mean they maybe made a video to play in the background during it, or they have different sets and models and stuff in the background. It's great.
And you get to hear both English and Greek songs. Two weeks ago, Annette (who is from New York, and wrote the song Everytime for Britney Spears) sang "Can't Live Without You" by Mariah Carey and she was amazing. Last week, Andreas sang "Never Can Say Goodbye" and today, Zoe sang "Made for Loving You" and a couple of weeks back, she sang "One Way or Another."
Another great thing about it is that there are only two people eligible for being voted off each week. These are the two people that were the worst the week before. Unlike, American Idol, this does not happen the day after. It happens at the end of every LIVE episode.
This show is basically American Idol + Big Brother. They have video cameras in the house 24 7 and each night they show an episode. I don't know if the American Idol contestants live together, but if they did, I'm sure it would be shown. But anyway, it is just so great to see these kids rehearse and fight, cry and live in the house with eachother.
The last winner was from New York. Her name was Kalomoira Sarandi. Janet Jackson sent her a video or something on some talk show.
Anyway, this show is just excellent beyond excellence. I just wish Americans had more time on their hands. I don't think we have enough time to have a three hour LIVE episode every week, and an episode of the kids living in the house every week.
And BTW, the judges are equally cruel.
