Does anyone have any information on the mansion that was used in the filming?

The mansion used as the exterior for the show was actually located on St. Cloud Road in Bel Air, California. It was next door to where the Reagan's now reside. Unfortunately for fans of the Beverly Hillbillies, the mansion was torn down in 1985, apparently so that a larger house could be built on the site.

the beverly hills mansion was built by Mr. Kirkaby a hotel magnate from chicago, and is indeed located on st cloud drive in bel air between the reagans and elizabeth taylor. the mansion was not torn down in 1985. it was purchased in 1988 by a well known tv producer and for an amount of 18 million and underwent a 2 year luxury renovation to the tune of almost twice the purchase price... it was complely renovated and modernised. the exterior and formal entrance remains as it was when first built however during renovation extensive additions were added on that you do not see.
