Does anybody know which episodes of ML are due to be shown this weekend on abc1?

I've been videoing the ones during the week where I can, but I've completely lost track to where we've got with the weekend reruns!!

In the weekday epi's, we had got as far as Between a yuk and a hard place yesterday, so early season 5...

On no, just had a thought that if abc1 have their normal scheduling over Christmas I'll miss 2 great episodes (the man who cried wife and symphony in knocked flat) as I will be away and in an area whre there is no abc1 :( But it would be heartless to miss a family Christmas to watch Moonlighting and I am not

Does anyone know if (and when) the DVDs will be released in the UK?

Thanks for that Tamm, I was getting confuzzled!! there's a few episodes I don't have on video and I wanted to catch them on the weekend showings!

Just looked at the Christmas Radio Times, and there seem to be no episodes of ML on Christmas Day or Boxing Day, so I don't think 'yule' miss anything!! (Bad joke!!)..

Thanks Mul,

though I don't know if that's correct as my tv guide showed no episode of Moonlighting today and it was definitely on, I watched it  I do hope you are right though

And yes, thats a bad joke, but I still laughed

Yippee Mul, you are correct! No Moonlighting on Christmas Day or Boxing Day so I won't miss anything :)

Has the weekday scheduling gone of course too? Today it was Atomic Shakespeare

It would seem that although the abc1 schedule meant that every episode of Moonlighting would be shown (except for The Pilot)
and it would be completed on Friday December 24th with the final episode (Lunar Eclipse) it would seem that this week they are running repeat episodes, having reached episode 61 (Those Lips, Those Lies) on Friday December 17th.

What has happened to the remaining five episodes? Are we to see them??

...and it would seem that abc1 is down to just one screening a day - at 3.05 pm - missing the morning broadcast! Radio Times still lists it as airing twice a day on the channel!

Thanks for keeping us up to date Tamm and Garry!

abc1 seem to have lost the plot... It's impossible to work out when episodes will be screened. It made sense to end the series on Christmas Eve, I thought!

I'll look forward to working out what will happen in the new year...

Yes, Mul, that's what I thought too when I worked out the sequence of episodes!! A neat finish on Christmas Eve! 65 episodes covering 13 five-day weeks since Monday September 27th!!

So far this week we have had "Atomic Shakespeare" (Monday);
"A Trip To The Moon" (Tuesday); "Maddie Hayes Got Married" (Wednesday). Another repeat later today (Thursday) ?? and - no doubt - "Twas The Episode Before Christmas" on Friday??? A nice choice for Christmas Eve!!

All of these are classic episodes - but I would suggest that there is little point in showing them like this out of sequence as the story-line unfolds (especially in the later episodes) and anyone watching for the first time - (do such individuals exist I ponder?) -would wonder what was going on??

The weekend run has reached "Camille" and "The Son Also Rises" last weekend (December 18th/19th). None are scheduled to be aired this coming (Christmas) weekend. The New Year weekend listings are not yet published. In order to show the complete episodes with two each weekend I have worked out that it will have to run for another 21 weekends in the New Year!

I wonder if the weekday transmissions will continue in the New Year with a second run once all the episodes have been shown?

Are we also going to be treated to "The Pilot" sometime, too? That was a feature-length episode so it would not fit into the current schedule!!

Hopefully the weekday transmissions will resume in January with the final unshown episodes from Season 5.

Has anyone else seen the adverts?

A WHOLE AFTERNOON OF MOONLIGHTING ON NEW YEAR'S DAY!

If there's 7 hours of Home Improvement (and why does Home Improvement get longer than Moonlighting anyway?), that means the Moonlighting marathon will start at 1pm, giving us 5 back-to-back episodes :D

Why thankyew, we aim to please :D

That scene is in the first episode of Moonlighting that I ever saw. Didn't actually understand what was going on at the time. I really should see Read The Mind - See The Movie again some time!

Oh no, that will be the end of the decorating I was planning to do on New year's day then!!

Having just watched Lunar Eclipse I assume that abc1 has now shown all the episodes on the weekday schedule. I will be interested to see if they start at the beginning again on Monday.

But as long as they continue the weekend run I will be happy

I can't find the original post but abc1 are definitely editing. All the bitch bastard stuff was missing from the fight scene in I am Curious which definitely took away some of the impact. Whether it was cut for advertising time or becuase it was shown in the afternoon I don't know. Has anyone noticed anything else which has been cut?

How strange to edit it all out. Surely the whole build up to this scene needs the bitch/bastard and slapping bits... Did they edit it out the last time it was shown on abc1? I'll take a looksie..

I'd never seen that episode before, I just knew bits were missing from watching the clip on davidandmaddie.com :D

By the way, is anyone keeping track of where we are with the weekend episodes? I know that the weekday ones have gone back to the beginning, but I've lost track of the weekend eps . . . I'm going to Rome this weekend so I hope they show episodes I've already seen! ;)

hmmm based on what I am reading here and given the fact that the abc1 channel is billed as a 'family' channel.. I wonder if they didn't cut those words because they consider it profanity. Interesting. I gotta wonder what else they would cut because of that. When they showed the pilot episode, did they leave in David calling her a "cold bitch"? What about in "A Trip to the Moon" when "bitch" is said several times....once by David sitting in the car outside Maddie's house upset cause she just went back into her house and left him sitting there he says "Life's a bitch!" Also in the laundromat scene Maddie tells him that he must think she is a bitch... Do they cut those lines too?

If not then maybe they cut I am Curious for what they consider violence???

I don't believe they've ever showed the Pilot on ABC1 - it's too long for their Moonlighting time slot.

As for A Trip To The Moon, I don't think they cut the 'bitch' from that, no. I'm pretty sure I remember those bits. And it was definitely on ABC1 that I saw them.

In which case, it seems strange to cut out the swearing in one, but not in another. I wish I'd seen I Am Curious when they showed it before so I could say if they only cut it out of the marathon version or whether it's cut out of the ABC1 version in general.

And surely David and Sam's punch up in the garage is worse violence than Maddie slapping David, anyway?

No, the pilot has not been shown.

At the weekend the last episode shown in sequence was Camille. Since then we have had Its a Wonderful Job, the marathon session and Blonde on Blonde. Not sure quite what they are playing at showing Blonde on Blonde 2 days in a row.

My thoughts not to carry on watching have gone (who can resist Maddie and David?!) so I will be watching the weekend run with even more interest to see if anything else has been cut.

So are the weekend shows not in sync with the weekday shows?

No Gem, they're not.

The weekday shows follow each other, and the weekend shows follow each other.

Eg.
Friday's episode will follow Thursday's, then Monday's will follow Friday's.
But Saturday's episode follows the previous Sunday's episode.

Does that make any sense?!

ok cool, yeah that does make sense. So I'd be better off getting two videos on the go. I just figured out how to set my video timer especially so that I can record Moonlighting in the week while I'm in school! Had that damn video for years and never bothered to figure out how it works!
