View Full Version : Trying to come up with an excuse letter for absence.... any suggestions? LOL.
Warm & Fuzzy 12-10-2004, 12:31 AM Yeah, so I woke up WAY too late for first period class today, hence I missed the whole class altogether. So yeah.. I'm trying to make up an absence/lateness/excuse note. Any ideas?? I've used the "I needed to escort my brother to school, so I was late" excuse once... can't use it again. Grrrrrrr. If I tell my teacher the truth (that I have overslept), it wouldn't be excused, so yeah.... I want a good excuse, LOL. Thanks! :D

Telling the truth will be more helpful than making up a lie. Yeah, I suppose. But I can't ruin my perfect attendance. :D Sorry, LOL.
Chambers 12-10-2004, 12:40 AM "Last night I overslept because I was having a really great dream. I just didn't want to wake up. You were in it. *wink*"
That could freak out your teacher enough to make him/her ignore the absence.

That's too bad. I rather have you look like a fool now and admit that you overslept than going around it.
Janice 12-10-2004, 12:48 AM Can you say that you weren't feeling well, and you had a difficult time getting out of the house?
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 12-10-2004, 01:00 AM You got your period in the AM and had to re-shower.

Yeah, when that's brought up, especially to a male, the questions usually cease.
Brent88 12-10-2004, 01:02 AM The power went off sometime during the night and your alarm clock didn't go off this morning.
:)

Janice: I can't use that excuse... I need a doctor's note if I "don't feel well." LOL.
Crystal: LOL. Um... r-right. :p I don't think I want to put that into words. Plus, I often experience amenorrhea, due to my eating disorder...... :( You probably didn't need to know that, though, LOL.

I say go with cramps. Its not too ewish where itd make you uncomfortable, but its enough for the teacher not to further question it.
Or um. You had to leave later than usual because Clay was on the Today Show.
