JUst a message to alert you to a very bad trader who set up a trade and when I sent my tape she hasn't sent hers. I'm sure we've all been there. Just glad I didn't send more. When we were setting up the trade she'd respond to all her emails and now I've sent several and she won't respond. Typical. Almost everytime I trade with girls I get screwed.
So just a word of warning. I think she may be under several IDs including scottbaiofan and maybe even more on different sites.
Don't let it happen to you.

Now, that wasn't nice. :rolleyes: However, I've heard the same thing from others. Believe me, not all girls are created equal, or as in my case, not all women are created equal. :D

I've seen several complaints on Lisa Mailman elsewhere. She's definitely someone to steer clear of.

I had a problem with her, as well. We had two small trades that went fairly well, so I took the plunge for a 10-tape deal. I sent my tapes but didn't receive anything for a few weeks. I e-mailed her about it, and she told me that she received the box I sent her but without any tapes inside. She said she also got back the box she sent me but with just the boxes to the tapes. I thought it sounded kind of fishy, but I figured it wasn't worth fighting it. I know of one other person I've traded with that's had a problem with her, too.

By the way, I believe that "el" is her name on this board.

Lisa Mailman is a nightmare to trade with. I sent her a couple tapes of Murphy Brown in exchange for 10-eps of Blansky's Beauties. After four months of excuses, from "My sister forgot to mail it" to "my dog ate the tape". I finally received a tape, extremely used, with only four episodes, one of which was on the tape three times.

She posts on several message boards, under Lisa or Anne; mailing address: Canada; and is obssessed with Scott Baio. Beware and never send first!!!!!!!!!

LOL, This is too hilarious! I came onto this msg board to post some Happy Days videos for sale, that were taped for...you guessed it...Lisa Mailman! It is funny hw I never actually receved the money she claimed to have sent. She did not reply to my e-mails either.
Here is my history with her:

1) She contacted me last year to set up a trade/sale. Since she had nothing to offer, she expressed interest in buying some Happy Days tapes from me.
I dutifully made her copies, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, for her to send the $$. Finally after a couple of months, she sent the $, or at least that is what she said. Then a couple of weeks later, I get an e-mail from her stating that the money order was "sent back" due t a bad address or something. Anyway, being the patient one I am, I told her to resend it. You knw what, she actually did! It wa sonly fr a small amount of tapes anyway, so I was not too concerned.

2) She contacted me a few months after that, from another account, claiming to be her "mother". It was something along the lines of, "can you send us the tapes for free, our other daughter is sick in hospital and really loves the show" or some nonsense like that. Of course I declined. Of course, this time she was not asking for a few episodes, but a number of seasons! hmm......

3) She contacted me again a few months ago, saying she would like to but about 100 episodes, by season, from me. Okaaay, I thought, she is a little weird, but hey, no problem. Deal is set, and I start taping, and taping, and taping, still no money order arrives. I e-mail her, she ask if she can send it a week later, fine, fine no problem. I get an e-mail from her stating that it was mailed, but might take quite a few days for some odd reason; of ocurse being in the same country, i know it does not take 2 weeks to get a letter.
And that my friends, is the last I heard from her. She des not respond to e-mails, etc.

h well, live and learn. From now on I do not start taping until the money order is cashed, period.
