This case aired today, and I have to say it's one of the most disturbing cases on UM. I haven't been able to find anything through Google, and was wondering if any of you were from the area or if any of you knew of any updates.

To refresh your memory, the case is about a man named Jeremy and his fiancee Heather. I don't believe they gave lasts names. Jeremy was selling a $31,000 computer system to a man calling himself "Tom Johnson." They drove to Marietta, Ga to deliver the system (I believe they were from Nashville). They met Tom at a motel. Tom made them wait for his "business partner," so Jeremy and Heather went out for breakfast. Whey they returned, they loaded the system into Tom's car, waited about 20 more minutes for the money and then insisted on completing the transaction. Tom pulled a gun on the couple and then attacked both of them with a hammer. Heather died as a result.

Police believe that "Tom Johnson" had some sort of accomplice who tried to sabbotage his plan. A woman reported a disturbance in Tom Johnson's room and was very insistant that something be done about it. The motel clerk refused. However, she reported the disturbance while Jeremy and Heather were out to breakfast, before the actual attack took place.

I don't think any arrests were ever made and the case is still very much open.
