Aside from the fact that both shows were spun off from All In The Family, there are a few remarkable simularities that I've noticed between The Jeffersons and Maude.Number one,the Jeffersons lived in an upper class penthouse, just as Maude had a large upper class house. Both households had a maid.Louise was a tough woman with a deep husky voice, just like Maude before her.The pairing of George,Louise,Tom and Helen was quite simular to that of Maude,Walter,Aurther and Vivian.Plus George and Tom regularly hung out together at a local bar, just like Walter and Aurther before them.George had his own business called Jefferson Cleaners, just as Walter's own business was Finlay's Friendly Appliances.Has anyone else noticed these simularities?

One other simularity was how Maude and Louise both had a loving relationship with Edith. :)

Well that maybe true with Louise but we don't know how close Maude and Edith were since Maude was only on All in the Family

That's true.Maude and Edith only appeared together on two episodes of AITF.But Maude and Louise both thought the world of Edith.

Louise did return to see Edith also after about 4 years of eing on the Jeffersons
