I live in the UK, and have only seen about a dozen "Family Ties" episodes from trips to America to visit relatives, so I don't know anyone who even knows what "Family Ties" is, let alone watches it. So I was just wondering: in your opinion, do you think "Family Ties" would be more popular with girls than with boys? For some reason, I assumed that more girls would like it than boys...I'm sure many boys do like it, but I just got the impression that it would maybe be slightly more popular with girls.

Any thoughts?

I don't think the show would be more popular with girls than boys. But, I'm a girl, so how can I know for sure? The show still has good jokes in it that anyone can find funny and laugh at so I don't think it would have to be a popular show for just one gender. Just my opinion.

I think the show was popular with both boys and girls/men and women in its day. But I suspect that the show might have slightly more appeal to girls(and gay guys), who find Michael J. Fox adorable and appreciate the show's presentation of family relationships and conflict in a gentle but hilarious manner.

I think more females may watch the show nowadays because in today's standards, it may be considered "corny," and males tend to stay away from "corny" things... if that makes sense.
