Uncle Jed sat Jethro down and explained to him why it would be a bad idea to marry his cousin. After several attempts at trying to make him understand, young Jethro finally sees the light and calls off the wedding plans. Ellie Mae was heartbroken, but they soon resumed their old habits of sneaking around behind Jed and Granny's back and making "mischief" in the cement pond and root cellar.

What kind of **** is this?There were no wedding plans for Jethro and Elly may.He had no romantic interest in his cousin whatsoever.In fact,he sledom-if ever-complimented her and sometimes insulted her...more her cooking than anything else.

In some states it's illeagle to marry your cousin. Wait a minuet in most states.
