If the show went on for more than eleven seasons.... who would have become a regular first??

John Allen Hill, Kelly or Paul??

Paul was on the cusp of becoming a regular before the show ended its run.

I agree, you could really see it in Season 11.

Paul most definitely

I just saw Barwars: The Naked Prey and Paul did have a nice little role in that.

Paul, definitely.
I don't think Kelly would have become a true regular. I can see her making appearances every now and then, but I don't think her character would spend enough time at the bar to make her qualify.

The only one where Paul actually played a prominent role in the storyline is It's Lonely on the Top

That was part of the joke of the character though, that he was always there but everyone still forgot him.

Paul. They needed a really big loser in the group, other than Cliff.

Definitely Paul. Kelly wouldn't come into the bar frequently enough to be a regular, and she wouldn't have much purpose there either. Hill would be good, but it'd probably be difficult to fit him into each episode. He didn't appear as much as Paul and Kelly did, either.

Nah, since they're all crack addicts, they suck instead.

Although I suppose the hornier ones do blow as well.

I think it's time you learned a secret:

lol

As far as who would be a regular first, I agree, Paul. Like most of you said, Kelly really wouldn't be around a bar much. The only way I would've seen her becoming a regular is if she had become a waitress at the bar. However, apparently they only need one waitress at the bar, lol. (I always thought it was funny that Carla used to throw a fit when Diane would leave early or take the day off because she would be the only one working, but then they went six years with just one waitress and she was fine, lol.)

Hill was better in small doses, like, you never knew when he'd show up, that was what made him so funny. Like in "The Bar Manager, The Shrink, His Wife and Her Lover" when Dr. Pascal shot the gun through the roof of Cheers and Hill appears. "This is not really a good time, John." LOL.

Paul, however, was on the same path that Cliff and Frasier were on before they got their names added to the credits, so I think he would've been next. He did, after all, stand naked in front of Gary's with the others. ;)

Paul probably. I really did like John Allen Hill though. Just gthe way he got under Sams skin was great. The time Sam went over to Carlas house and there was Hill in a short bathrobe was classic!!

Maybe she just complained about Diane taking time off because she didn't like her. Carla seems perfectly capable of coping alone, so maybe she just wanted an excuse to complain about Diane.
