I read that the lady who played "Donna" was in real life married to the actor who played Capt. Dobey on Starsky and Hutch. I didn't know that. That was interesting. Anyway, what happened to the "Donna" character in "Sanford"?????? I read that Fred was dating someone else. Was the character of Donna and her departure ever "explained"?????? It just seems strange that Fred and Donna would have been engaged all that time and then suddenly Donna's character was written out of the script.

You have to remember..."sanford","grady" the two shows where made to give the public something since the original series was such a big hit. But, when you replace Lamont with Cal and you explain Fred allowing him to live there(when he didn't even want to let the lady from the Census use the toilet) you are fishing in the dark. You might catch a viewer or two but for the most part your off target. Don't destroy your memory of "sanford and son" by watching or even mentioning that dreaded series "sanford" along with the original. such blasphemy.

Ummmmmmmm .. . I take it that you didn't like "Sanford" very much then, eh????? LOL! I agree that it pales in comparison to the prime seasons of Sanford and Son but from what I remember it wasn't any worse than the last season of S & S. That last season was kind of bad, IMHO, anyway.
