Does anyone know of a site where I can download a program that will colorize B&W photos?

i really don't think any program can do that.

VCW Vicma'ns photo editor. In the "Harry's filter' feature there are several options to colorize.

Thanks, but it didn't quite have what I wanted.

You can do it on Paint Shop Pro... it takes a while to get the hang of, though. Took me forever.

What she said. Plus...it's best to use really really dark colors when you colorize, because if you use a light color, it will come out all funny. With darker colors, your picture will come out more natural. :)

For me, it's the opposite O_O

If you have access to Adobe PhotoShop, the best thing would be is to select each area and copy onto its own new layer. Then, use the color blending mode under 100% and then fill the area(s) with the desired foreground color. The color blending mode allows the color to conform to the pixel of the original background for realistic effect. ;)
