I can't wait. That's right, he last spoke to ABC's 20/20 in 1985, when Hugh Downs and Barbara Walters were both on the air and JohnStossel wasn't a full-blown creep - that was a looooooooooooooooong time ago!! I gotta set my VCR - I'll be out that night! The Modfather 12-04-2004, 10:11 AM http://wwwimage.cbsnews.com/images/2004/12/02/image658700x.jpg Jrnygrl 12-06-2004, 01:26 AM Okay, who saw the interview?? I thought it was interesting when he said that he isn't everything people thinks he is. And that he doesn't think he can write the way he did back then. See the interview also made me miss another icon, John Lennon. I really would have love to hear what he would have to say about life in today's world. Lennon was also another artist that did not take himself too seriously. The Modfather 12-06-2004, 08:39 AM I saw it- and I loved it. Dylan acted just like his self the whole time. I laughed when he was talking about his home in Woodstock Ed asked "What did people want to talk about" and Bob said "Anything, politics, philosophy, and oraganic farming" When Ed asked "What do you know about oraganic framing?" he just said "Nothing at all" Jrnygrl 12-06-2004, 03:01 PM Originally posted by The Modfather I saw it- and I loved it. I also loved when he said that people come up to him and say, "....are you who I think you are?" and Bob says it really confuses him, because he said, well who do you think I am, and it is the media that has made him into something that he feels he is not. A very humble man. Too bad more famous people aren't like this. Dean Winchester 12-06-2004, 07:09 PM and right after 60 Minutes went off, Bob was on the Simpsons :) The Modfather 12-06-2004, 08:00 PM Originally posted by BuffySlayer79 and right after 60 Minutes went off, Bob was on the Simpsons :) I was laughing pretty hard at that Steve M. 12-06-2004, 08:21 PM Originally posted by Jrnygrl I know it was funny, these people wanting to talk to him, and just walking up to his house. Weberman, the guy who used to go through Dylan's garbage to find clues to what his songs were about, didn't come up in the conversation! crystals 12-06-2004, 08:33 PM Originally posted by Jrnygrl people come up to him and say, "....are you who I think you are?" and Bob says it really confuses him, because he said, well who do you think I am, and it is the media that has made him into something that he feels he is not. That's kind of funny. If I was well known and someone came upto me with that question I would probably answer the same way or maybe try to refute it and say no I'm sorry to say you're sorely mistaken. :p The media has made alot of people into looking like they;re something they're not. In a way, I'd hate to say it, but the media could almost be the reason indirectly why some people stalk singers and actors. The idea of "celebrity" is put into people's minds so much with Star TV, Entertainment Tonight, etc that it can cause problems. Sometimes I almost feel sorry for singers and actors. Seriously. There are some weird people out there they have to deal with. |
