Was there a character named Mr. Farquar.....or something like that....I'm thinking that he was the little short white headed man with a white moustache....that was flirting with granny......Was that his character's name or did the Clampett's get his name confused and call him that..??

Chiknwang:
You're in luck; I just saw an episode with Mr. Farquar in it on the WGN superstation this past Tuesday (1/11, early a.m.). He is the father of Mrs. Drysdale. You have remembered the character correctly--he is a small white-haired man with a thin mustache--although I don't know the actor's name. I recall him as a familiar character actor on situation comedies in the 60's.
In this episode, he has traveled West from Boston, for the first time, to visit the Drysdales. Mrs. Drysdale puts on airs that he's a wealthy old Bostonian, but apparently he has made (and lost) his fortune as a gambler. He tries to clean out Jed by playing poker (using matches, instead of chips), then Granny joins the game and cleans him out in turn.

I found a description of the episode that was shown 1/11/05 on WGN at http://www.tvtome.com/BeverlyHillbillies/season4.html#ep118
The actor playing Mrs. Drysdale's father was Charlie Ruggles.
