Was this the case of the deaf-mute who a bank robber fell for and married? IIRC, when he thought the authorities were closing in, he sent her into a police station with a note emphasizing HER non-involvement and innocence in the bank robberies but just asked that she be looked after. I think the segment had her father who was suspicious of his son-in-law but had seemed unable to convince his deaf daughter to get away from him. Anyway, she was totally cleared of any involvement in the robberies and (I think) he was eventually caught but what became of her after that I don't recall.

she was the girl that was found by a police officer dancing on the divider of a busy street. I think this happened in San Diego.

I would like to know of any updates too.

I just saw this segment today and was sure that there would be an update on it. You would think that someone would surely have recognized this young woman but I guess not.

That actually occurred here in my area. Being in this area I can't even find an update on what happened to the girl. Maybe I should just take a drive to the police station and ask them whatever happened to her. But that was so long ago.

When they filmed that segment, they used the same street and the same area. They filmed the police station as well. It is the Port Hueneme Police Department that handled that case.

I believe her name is pronounced "Lucy" not Lucky.

Yeah, I had asked about this case a while back and never got a response. It seems she would be too easy to ID.

Really??? How long ago did you live in Port Hueneme? What do you miss? I know I love living here and have no intentions of ever leaving.

This was in 2004/2005. I lived there for about 9 months. I just miss everything about the area!

Back on topic, I think the only way to find out is to contact the police department and ask.

Kamy, you are right. The beach right at your doorstep, how can you not miss that?
