Howdy!!
Does anyone know if Jane Hathaway has a middle name? I'm also interested in any other info about her, such as her age, interests, where she is from, went to school, family, friends, favorite foods, drinks, colors, etc...
Thanks, B.

Her middle name was Nancy, she was probably in her thirties or forties, she liked bird watching, I think I heard her say she was from Austria, she went to Vascar University, I don't know about her family she never spoke of them, her friends were basically the Clampetts and her co-workers, I don't know about her favorite foods, I think she liked carrot juice, her favorite color was probably red, and honestly she struck me as a closet lesbian.

Throughout the series Jane was attracted to men, especially Jethro, with whom she actually went out on at least one romantic date. She was also attracted to the male stars of the movie studio Jed owned. And in the final season, she became extremely excited at the prospect of being the girlfriend of the Dick Bremerkamp character ("Robert Audubon Getty Crockett").
I don't know about the rest of you, but I think her preference was clear. If you wish to believe the character was a lesbian, I'm not going to argue it. But the facts seem to show otherwise. She is smitten with Jethro practically from their first meeting.

Her character on the show wasn't a lesbian but in real life she certainly was. She came out of the closet at the age of 67 and admitted she was a lesbian.

I know but there was a little bit of evidence that Jane was a lesbian. When Jethro kissed her the poor woman looked like she'd been violated. I think it's just lack of ability to act on her part. That may be what made me think the character was a lesbian. Of course I also think that Pearl was bisexual.

I loved the show and jane was great but my mother could not stand her, any scene that had her in it my mother would get up and walk out of the room.
