Could anyone tell me how Buddy Ebsen is doing health wise? The last I heard he was alive. Thanks

I just read a article about the cast in Biography magazine. Here's what it said about Buddy Ebsen:

Ebsen is frail but active at age 92. He voiced a character last year on TV's King of the Hill. "But when you get to be my age, " he jokes, "producers are wary of whether you'll live throughout the picture." So he and wife Dorothy stay at home, near Los Angeles, where he paints and writes. Ebsen's autobiography, The Other Side of Oz, was published in 1994. Now he's writing a novel.
Hope that answers your question.....Betz

I read his book "The Other Side of Oz", and
it was wonderful....you really got to know
Mr. Ebsen on a personal note....It also has
some wonderful pictures in it, and tells of
how he broke into show business, along with
his sister....
Also of note, the part where he tells how
Irene Ryan got the part of Granny was very
funny....the creators thought she was too
young for the part (she was 61, I think) and she practically pestered her way into it...It was hilarious....

Buddy lived to be something like 93 years old. He and my grandmother were born in the same year and died in the same year.

I hope Buddy kicked someone's behind for that crap paint makeup that almost killed him and screwed him out of an all time iconic role.

It wasn't anybodys fault that he was allergic to the make up. I belive things happen for a reason and if he had gotten the part in Wizard of Oz he might not have gotten the role of Jed Clampett which made him a house hold name. You can be bitter about things that happen in the past or you can move on and do good things with what life you do have.

also; it was the 30s and putting on a lot of makeup for movies was probably risky sometimes.
