How many posts do you have to have in order to have an avatar again?

Wait a minute...You need a certain amount of posts to be able to get an avatar?

Nah, definetly not...I've seen people put them in minutes after registering without even posting yet.

There are no ranks, experience levels, etc. on SO.

For example there is this brand new poster named Sweet Brunette who had the presence of mind to already have an avatar and signature with a very minimal amount of posts. It's almost like she knew how to do it before hand.

I only asked because I never noticed it in the User CP.

Now after further looking I saw that it's in the Edit Opitions part, never noticed that it was in there before...
