No because All in the Family was on CBS and Sanford and Son was on NBC. So the crossover would have been impossible

Plus, All in the Family was set in New York, Sanford and Son was in LA.

Exactly, Chico and the Man was the only show S&S could have crossed over with because both shows were based in LA and aired back to back on NBC

Maybe Archie could have crossed over when he and Edith went to see Mike and Gloria in California. They could have gotten lost in Watts or something. That's IF CBS and NBC would have done it.

Fred probably would've reacted the same way to the people on Chico & The Man as he did to that Hispanic guy (forgot his name, the one with the goat...)

Another good crossover would be Sanford and Son and Good Times. Fred would be Florida's new boyfriend after the death of James, then he and Lamont move in with the Evan's family and leave Watts for good; then Lamont starts to seriously court Thelma, and they end up married instead of her marrying Keith, and give Flordia and Fred some grandbabies....Also when Fred and Lamont move to Chicago, they bring along Grady, and he develops a special friendship with JJ...

That would be gross because if Fred married Florida then Lamont/Thelma would be incest...right?

Florida and Fred don't mix good together IMO...

i can think of others but it be 1 classic episode. No, I do not see Fred getting along with any of the Evans children and that is why I think it would had been a funny crossover, the only Evans child I can see Fred developing a rapport with is Thelma, because she was pretty, and Fred did have a thing for the pretty ladies.

Lighten up, TVShowAnalyzer, it's only a fantasy. I'll admit, Esther and Bookman is ridiculous. How about Sweet Daddy hanging out with Rollo?

In the 80's, I think it would have been neat if NBC had revived the Aunt Esther character and put her in an episode of The Golden Girls. I could just see Estelle Getty's Sophia character insulting her the same way Fred did and those two women could really go at each other. It would also be interesting to see the bible-thumping Esther take on man-hungry Blanche.

If I was a tv screenwriter, my idea for introducing Aunt Esther into the episode is that her adopted son could be working in a band with Dorothy's son, who is a jazz musician, and she decides to go visit Dorothy in Miami.
