View Full Version : Lousy Products
dawsongirl 11-24-2004, 10:29 PM I'm starting this thread for everyone to complain about all the crappy, worthless products they've ever bought.
My complaint at the moment is with this $1100 worthless pile of computer chips sitting above my TV. I've had this DVD Recorder in at least 4 times and the last time they put a new drive in it. Now it won't read discs again.
Brian 11-24-2004, 10:40 PM I bought a used PlayStation 2 game that turned out to be defective. It cost 41 dollars and the cashier didn't give me a receipt, so I had to let the money go because it was weeks later.
Chelsea 11-24-2004, 10:57 PM I think, at some point or another, I've mentioned the laptop I received as a graduation present...
I have, to date, had TWO AC Adaptors blow out, in addition, the AC input in the computer itself is damanged, preventing me from charging the thing with my THIRD adaptor.

And of all the ironic things...in the middle of typing that, my laptop keyboard quit working.
Anyway...don't buy Philips, if for no other reason than their customer service sucks.

UGH, that really blows!
I've had nothing but bad luck with Compaqs and Gateways.
I should really get an Epson scanner the next time around- my current one and last one both seem to have minds of their own. I have a HP PSC 1350 scanner that I got last year when I got my current computer. It's fine, but sometimes it doesn't want to do anything for me. I'll go to print out something and then it won't print. I Love Carol Burnett! has the same model PSC as me and he has more trouble with his than I do with mine. Oh yeah, another thing. Sometimes when I want to scan in something, I get an Internet Explorer runtime script error. Okay...what does THAT have to do with scanning my stuff?
My last one was a chunky ole HP 3200C and I had nothing but trouble with it!!!! OMG. I was SO pissed. I got it in December 2000 and it was fine right up until February 2001, then for some reason one day, it decided to quit working. I couldn't scan anything at all, because my computer just wasn't reading my scanner connection. I tried everything possible to fix it, but to no avail. It was like that until February of 2002. That's right, one full year of not being able to use that POS scanner! By that time, I had gone from using Win95 to Win XP so I found a driver online for my scanner, downloaded it and installed everything else and my scanner was fine after that. In 2003, it started having trouble again - whenever I would scan something in, there would be HORRID yellow, blue and green lines all over whatever I was scanning in. So I would just keep on re-scanning until the lines weren't as bad. They would be really bad when you first started up the scanner but not so bad after, but still very annoying. Finally, it broke down. Ugh! What a pain in the ass that was.
tootiefan4eva 11-25-2004, 01:13 PM revo styler. and it was costly too, thats the only television thing i fell for. it damages hair and when its spinning it can only go so high up or it will start moving back and fourth tugging at your hair. i think i threw it out in the garage.
dawsongirl 11-26-2004, 01:28 AM Speaking of computer technology...
I had 2 HP printers that were different model numbers, but they were practically identical. And they were both crap. Wouldn't take the paper, the pages came out smeared even if you cleaned it...I will never buy anything HP again.

Hmm...worthless products...I don't know, I feel bad for worthless products because they're worthless. And I'm entirely serious. God.

It's an old folks thing...You see, everyone's favorite punching bag Seth Thrasher, in his original form, was known around these parts as Devastation26...On a lark (Being on a lark is fun, btw), I changed my name back to that SN...Mainly to see how many of the old-school members I could give severe migraines to :p
Seeing me make a post under a screenname I haven't used in a good three years (those WERE a good three years...) HAD to be a little freaky
