Where Beaver swears and Miss Landers is listening and he gets in trouble and they all act like it's a big deal. Come on! Nowadays, if we swear in front of the teacher they just ask us not to ues language like that. But they're calling this a serious problem. They should see the serious problems today.

I agree. I wonder what Beaver said that was SO bad. Like AJ said, things have changed A LOT since then.

It was just a matter of manners back then and we are just used to cussin' every chance we get.

From trying to read his lips and the context, I thought it might have been "a-hole."

I'm not a fan of swearing especially if its a kid...but I DO think that she WAY over-reacted...I mean, she was acting as if he kicked a baby or something. Unless maybe he said something REALLY offensive, like a seriously derogatory remark.

You gotta admit that there were alot of things that were overboard in LITB, esepecially when it came to Miss Landers and sometimes June. ;)

Beaver sure did have a temper, which is something I can relate to. Also June was "overboard" on a lots of things too! :bump
