I'm shy around strangers, but not always. At family gatherings with my family, I'm very outgoing, yet at my husband's family gatherings, I'm more subdued. I'll talk to people standing or sitting next to me, but it's different than with my own family.

I tend to be very shy if I'm with a group of people, even if I know them very well. I am very shy around people I don't know too

It depends. Like when I'm at a party with all my friends and their parents, I can be really friendly and social and talk to everyone. But when I'm mixed in with all these people I don't know then I can be shy.

I am also shy in the way that at stores I hate seeing people i know that aren't close friends. like when i see someone coming i don't want to talk to i look down and engage myself in an activity and i never give the person eye contact. times like that I can be really shy.

so it really depends:)

I have to get comfortable around people before I can be loud with them. I'm actually really shy. But when I'm with people I've known forever - wow. Watch out. You can probably hear me 5 miles away.

I'm shy and for this one reason: Whenever I do unshy to people, they end up hating me more than 50% of the time. I don't want to annoy anyone so I just shut the hell up. I know it sounds like I'm trying to please other people, but I'm trying to please myself so I'm not hurt by people's **** on how I'm so wrong all the time.

I'm not shy on the board, here, but that's only because we're not looking at each other face to face. It's different.

I'm the exact same. I can speak for the state of California if I'm with someone I'm friends with:lol:

DITTO! :eyes2:

And the bad thing about it, is people think I'm being a snob or that I am stuck up, but once you get to know me I am a really nice person.

I'm only comfortable around my immediate family and a few close others. I hardly speak when I'm around anyone else.

I use to be so unshy and outgoing.....but as I got older, episically now, I'm extremly shy!
When I have to speak in front of a crowd, I screw up.

Yeah, same here. I'm usually shy in a crowd, but not on the boards because it's not face to face. When I'm home no-one can make me be quiet, but in a crowd sometimes I don't say a word.

Around my friends no, but if my friends or family aren't there I hardly speak.
