today i found David Bowies "Yung Americans" album for a buck. I wanted to hear what the hip was about because I did like the Never Let Me Down record. This record sucks. He was ripping off Rick Astley's sound and look for this album. Rick Astley is better and more talented. Who agrees

Rick Astley? I think I saw him the other day. He asked me if I wanted to supersize my Big Mac meal.

Then his song "Never Gonna Give You Up" came on over the muzac feed, and he jumped over the counter and started singing and dancing along to it. It was quite sad. His shift manager made him go work the fryer for an hour as punishment.

That's enough - read him his rights.

He has no good taste or good grammar.

I like Rick Astley's music better than David Bowie's. I like his albums: Whenever You Need Somebody and Hold Me In Your Arms.

no offense, but you frowned on somebody who likes Tiffany, and then you go and say Rick Astley and Jesse McCartney (who, contrary to popular belief, is of no relation to Sir Paul) are more talented than David Bowie?!!?!?!?!? Rick and his few hits vs. Bowie and his 40 year career? You're pretty much alone on this one.

Bowie generally makes top 5/top 10 all-time influencial lists all the time. Like it or not, he is up there as a legend and to compare a flash in the pan such as Rick Astley to him is almost as bad as comparing Tiffany and her godawful teen pop remakes to the legend of The Beatles.

I really have nothing against Rick Astley(or Tiffany from the other thread, for that matter), but better than Bowie? Surely you jest!!

I agree, Rick Astley has a few okay songs.

But... "Together Forever" being better than The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust or Station To Station? Surely you jest
