View Full Version : It's today.....
G-Force Glockstar 11-23-2004, 07:34 AM that the Season 2 DVD is coming out!!!! party:
When you get it, post it here!! :)
I know I won't be getting it soon....maybe I'll wait til Christmas.
spunkygirl 11-23-2004, 12:57 PM I won't be able to get it for another week at least, short on cash at the moment :( But I am def. looking forward to it :D
vashti1999 11-23-2004, 01:20 PM I was nearly tempted to get this when I got Golden Girls today, there's a $10 rebate if you bought any 2 between Home Imp., BMW, GG or Lizzie. I'll get BMW eventually but it's not a priority. Seasons 3/4 are my favorite. Maybe by that time I'll get the whole collection to date.

Cool.
Seasons 1 and 2 are good, but not my absolute favorites, I like Seasons 3, 4 and 7 the best :)
I read Pav's review of the DVD it was good, Ultimate Disney should have one up soon, I can't believe 5 episodes have commentary, pretty cool :)
bmwfan4eva 11-23-2004, 02:38 PM Just got it today. inside Pictures adn stuff look good. They have Who has drected and written the episodes inside the package. Really cool. Season 3,4, and 7 were the best. :)
Joker85 11-23-2004, 02:55 PM I just got mine. Season Two is one of my favorites. Haven't listened to the commentary yet, but I did watch the first episode. The packaging is a little weird this time around, but that's a small complaint.
gOoSe 11-23-2004, 03:02 PM they split the cast up which made the commentaries boring IMO
i also got lizzie, but was thinking about Golden Girls, i'll probably get that later
vashti1999 11-23-2004, 03:05 PM Off-topic concerning the dvds, but I thought I'd ask you guys instead of reading tvtome, you guys probably would know what I'm talking about. I don't know if it was season 3 or 4, but there was one season where it seemed like every episode in a roundabout way had to do with education and getting the most out of school. It was like every episode of the season had a subtle moral lesson to it without beating the audience over the head with it, and I remember really liking that. Throughout the rest of the series run, I always considered that to be my favorite season, I just don't remember exactly what season that was. I haven't seen any episodes since they aired in prime time on ABC. I just remember it was one of the Mr. Turner years so I figured it was either seaon 3 or season 4.
gOoSe 11-23-2004, 03:19 PM hm... it was probably season 4... every episode of that season came back to education or life decisions... i mean the whole series did but that season did the most....
i do think every season had a theme to it, with or without being intentional...
AngeFaitore 11-23-2004, 04:25 PM Cool. I might get it sometime. I don't have season 1, but I've kind of held out for the Turner episodes.
I think I'm going to get Sliders Season 3 before a pick up BMW or more Simpsons sets. Sliders will still be expensive... it was last time.
I *CAN'T* wait to get a job...

I think that was because of scheduling, I read Will and Rider did theirs when they filmed the Season 1 commentaries. I had read at first that Ben and Danielle might not be able to do the commentaries for Season 2, but that's probably why, it was kinda last minute I'm assuming :)

That sounds more like Season 2 or 3, but it could be Season 4, I can't remember :(
Mr. Turner was from Seasons 2-4 so maybe someone else might remember :)
MaydayMalonesGirl 11-23-2004, 06:00 PM I went down to Target this afternoon and it was already sold out. I'll probably go somewhere else tomorrow and try to find it.
barwars 11-23-2004, 07:26 PM I'll pick mine up when I go back to Best Buy.
I was so ticked off that they didn't have Seinfeld yet, I didnt bother to buy anything.
The packaging sounds awful though.

I heard it is.
AustinL1980 11-23-2004, 08:14 PM I agree...the packaging is no good. I don't care though. As long as I've got the DVD's! I can make my own packaging. I just got mine today from Amazon. And I thought that I'd have to wait until after the holidays. I'm going to pop those babies in right now and watch a few episodes. Good stuff!!
bmwfan4eva 11-23-2004, 08:21 PM Yeah. The packinging sucked. I hope for season 3's packinging will be much better. Hope you enjoy the DVDs. :)
gOoSe 11-23-2004, 09:22 PM i liked how they did lizzie mcguire, which was 2 snapper cases with 2 discs in each and then the two snapper cases are in that box.
it's alot easier to work with, and i'm sure Mr.Jacobs could still fit his letter in...
Joker85 11-24-2004, 12:35 AM I don't understand why they didn't do it like they did season one. I mean, why the need to conserve space? It's irritating. To get to the third disc you must first remove the second disc. It's like this on the Golden Girls set too. Buena Vista thing I guess. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, packaging isn't all that important, but it's still an annoyance.
bmwfan4eva 11-24-2004, 07:35 AM Yeah. it's anoying when the discs are on top of one another. It stinks. I hope they won't do it to season 3 when it comes out.
MaydayMalonesGirl 11-26-2004, 11:19 PM I got my DVD today.
Its okay... but I agree with everyone about the packaging not being well done. I also dislike that they split up the cast for the commentaries. I liked when it was Ben, Rider, Danielle, and Will all commentating on the episodes together.

:(
I agree about the commentaries, but I think Will and Rider filmed theirs when they did the Season 1 commentaries. That's why it's split up :( Someone said that you can hear what they say alot better than you could in the Season 1 commentaries.
Hopefully I'll have my DVD for Christmas I think my brother might buy it for me :D
