Sports History? I'm sure there were other sports brawls that were similar to Friday's brawl. I can't recall the Sixers/Pistons in 1990 having a brawl at Detroit with Charles Barkley and Bill Lambieer

I'd have to study up to give a real answer to that, but usually things aren't allowed to get nearly as out of hand as that one did. That was crazy-wild.

Ty Cobb was know to run into the stands and kick some butt now and again. I suppose there were a lot of brawls back in the day that the ESPN guys aren't taking into consideration. We get a lot of that "worst/best/ and so forth in history" business these days. It's all a bit of hyper-speak if you ask me.

I've seen soccer brawls in Europe that were probably worse, in terms of the number of people. But this is easily the worst in American sports history..as far as I know anyway.

I've seen video of that and I think it was worse than that Pacers/Pistons brawl. That one lasted five minutes. The players of the San Diego Padres and the Atlanta Braves in that link went after each other the whole game. It has to be seen to be believed.

I recall two brawls that were similar to pacers/pistons

1992-Knicks and Suns

1990-Pistons/Sixers

It's got to be one of the worst brawls. If not, the worst. This was non-stop.

It, if I may say, rests my case that for them on ESPN to say this brawl is the "worst in history" is so much hyper junk and selling stuff. Too bad we have to listen to the cash register ringing up and drowing out reality at ESPN, and all other networks for that matter.
