I have the song by Tiffany on a 45 called "I Think Were Alone Now" along with the original by Tommy James & the Shondells on a LP. I like both versions of the song.:)

I vote "neither," and give a write-in vote for The Modern Lovers' "Government Center."

I should write a parallel universe version of my rock and roll history thread where Tiffany was the lead singer of one of the Brill
Building girl groups whose management concocted a diabolical plan to upstage the arrival of those renegade British moptops...And how it changed the course of music for generations...

Steve M.'s comment wasn't the least bit sexist. He was just trying to keep himself from making a comment about the fact that you thought the song was a Tiffany original. He would've said the same thing if you were a male.

I'm still wondering why you wanted to know if I was male or female, just because I watch football and like to go to rock concerts. Females do do both these days.

Tiffany can be described in many ways; incredible, eternal, brilliant, and ageless. The release of this album in 1987 is equal to events like the tearing down of the Berlin Wall, The Italian Renaissance and the birth of Jesus. To truly appreciate Tiffany's work, one must be in a frame of mind that what they are about to listen to the greatest composing the world has ever heard, equally matched with vocal harmonies that until now only God Himself must have heard from his choir of angels. A breakdown....

9. I Think We're Alone Now - This was it. THE song that changed popular music forever. This single hit eclipsed everything The Beatles, Michael Jackson, and The Rolling Stones ever did. Without a doubt the single best song mankind ever had the priviledge to listen to. The Eternal Tiffany became the Queen of Music as soon as this track was cut. No better song has ever been better performed, written, or produced. It's qualities can only give us mortals a hint of what heaven must be.

The original version by Tommy James & the Shondells was hit #2 on the WABC's survey back in April of 1967. Tiffany's version was #1 on Billboard back in 1987.
