It's a 10 question geography quiz where you have to pick out the locations of randomly selected countries. They ask you your country and state and they track each state's progress. So help your state be the smartest geographically! :D And help your country while you're at it.

i got 1 right and it was just a guess. yeah i'm pretty ****ing stupid.

I only got 3, and I consider myself good at geography, it is just I got countries like Zambia, Bhutan etc, I actually could point out alot of them on the map, I just got unfortunate questions.

God that's the truth! I live in Texas now, but I'm also in a state of denial. I just tell people that I live here, but my heart is still in Michigan.

I didn't know Georgia was a country.

Georgia is one of the former Soviet states.

The only ones I missed were Senegal, Somalia, and some other African country, and I think I accidentally clicked on one I didnt mean to for Somalia, because it said I clicked on south Africa, and I have a pretty good idea where Somalia is (North of South Africa and South of Ethiopia)

I was gonna represent NH, but felt the need to help out Maine since we're one of the worst 5. Though with my knowledge, it could go both ways.

I got 8 out of 10 right. The only ones I missed were Micronesia and Comoros. But I wasn't surprised because the I haven't studied the Pacific rim as extensively as other areas of the world. But I got easy ones like Italy, Romania, Paraguay, etc.

The US is now at 107. You would think, with out numbers, we would get a higher ranking.

I knew Lesotho, Nicaragua, North Korea, Malaysia, Libya, Gabon, and Indonesia. Now I have to look up where the heck San Marino and Kiribati are.

Same here. Best I did was 5 and that's probably because I got Indonesia and Japan on that quiz.

I know Kiribati is in the Pacific, but have no clue where. San Marino in in Europe though. It's a really tiny enclave in the boot of Italy. (Like Vatican City, only northeast of it)

And I'm pretty sure I'd pick the wrong country when looking for Ukraine.

You're right. All the ones I missed besides San Marino were Islands in the Pacific. I looked them all up after I was finished taking the tests to find out where they were specifically. I remembered San Marino was close to Italy but didn't remember where exactly so I clicked Malta for it. I took the test 3 more times right after my first 3--the 4th time I got 9/10 and missed the Marshall Islands. Dang those Islands! The last 2 times I finally got 10/10.

I can never get the Pacific islands straight. My one downfall. :lol: Also, western Africa confuses me too. I know most countries in northern, eastern, and southern africa, but all those little countries rounding out the west coast confuse me to no end.

I will not be remembering any of the islands I looked up yesterday--it would take me a while before I would ever have them memorized. The only reason I got 10/10 twice was because no islands were on it! And western Africa is definitely tough. I would always stumble on that part, not only because there are so many tiny countries, but also because several of the names are so similar. I had to spend a lot of time to get those down. (When we did the Pacific islands in school, I just crammed them for the tests, but not long after I forgot them all.)

And the fact that they're so small, they don't really have a definant shape. (Like the US is a big elephant, China a hen, India a diamond, Italy a boot, etc.)
