I won't be on the boards next week since I'll be away for the Thanksgiving holiday so as to remind the folks "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" (1973) will air on ABC-TV Thanksgiving night at 8:00pm (E/P). Set those recording devices. (VCR's and DVR's)*

*DVR = Digital Video Recorders

I'm looking forward to that before I could set up my timer on my DVR and I will copy it onto a DVD.:) That's one of the best Peanuts specials on. I have a bunch of Peanuts specials on VHS along with the three movies "Snoopy Come Home", "Race for your Life, Charlie Brown" and "Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown, (and Don't Come Back!)".

Great news. Though not as popular as the Christmas or Halloween specials, the Thanksgiving one is entertaining.

I'm glad ABC is putting it up.

The clasic Christmas special will air Tuesday, December 7 at 8pm. The new Xmas special will air Tuesday, December 14 at 8pm. Both are one-hour.

I bought the Thanksgiving special on VHS a few years ago because they stopped airing it for a few years. It is an entertaining special.

I think there are actually three Christmas specials now, but the only one worth watching is A Charlie Brown Christmas (great soundtrack album by Vince Guaraldi, too). The other two are pretty terrible.

I wish they'd finally make A Charlie Brown Christmas available unedited, though (there are some jarring cuts, even in the so-called "uncut" version, that hide plugs for the show's original sponsor, Coca-Cola).

You're right! "A Charlie Brown Christmas" does have a sponsor for Coca-Cola but it butcher it during all of the specials except the anniversary special with the Coca-Cola sponsor. I have the VHS version does not have a Coca-Cola name.
