I live in Syracuse.... my friend is the son of his personal nurse.

If the World Series had gone to Boston for the fifth game, they were going to fly him there and put him up in a hotel free of charge.


But, they won it in four.



Also, he was supposedly going to throw the opening pitch of the Red Sox's 2005 season.

For the record, he saw the socks win in 1917

But damn, yeah, very old, I didnt realize he was THAT old when I saw him on the news, he actually looked healthier than some people do at 75 or 80

I heard about that. 113 years is a long time. I wonder what the oldest age on record is. May god bless his soul and have him safely journey to the next life.

my great aunt is 105 this year. actually she might be dead. i've never met her, and have only heard her mentioned twice.:)

Otherwise, I know that at least a year ago the was a lady in Louisiana alive at 124. I believe there was also a record of someone at 136 or something.
Man! I probably don't have even 80 years left! Ahhh!
