I was born in Michigan and so I've always called it hockey. Now that I live in Texas, they seem to call it ice hockey. What do you guys call it?

I'm from Michigan too and I've always called it hockey.

I've lived up here in Michigan for just about all my life, and I've always called it just plain old "Hockey".

I'm glad people are agreeing with me. In high school the principal would announce that the "ice hockey team will be playing so and so." I mean hockey is hockey unless it's field hockey. If that's the case you would call it field hockey.

In our school they refer to it as Ice Hockey, but Field Hockey and Ice Hockey seasons sometimes overlap, so to save confusion...

However, it's referred to as both around here.

It’s just hockey, unless you need for some reason to differentiate it from some other form, like say street hockey or floor hockey or roller hockey.
