View Full Version : The greatest TV ladies man
ThirteenInchEscape 11-20-2004, 05:06 PM a common sitcom character, is of course, the ladies man. These characters are also consitently very, very funny.
You can make your choice based on many things, how many women the get, the great lies they concoct to get said women, the problems they cause, etc.
Some obvious ones are:
Sam from Cheers
Larry from Three's Company
Joey from Friends
Patrick from Coupling
Quagmire from Family Guy
Boomhaur from King of the Hill
At any rate, my favorite is definately Patrick from Coupling, I was just watching an episode where through quite a course of events everyone went to a natal class for Susan, and Patrick had slept with almost every girl there, most of them while they were dating their boyfriend/husband that they were having the baby with. Patrick also has a cupboard with hundreds of videos, many of which he taped over because he ran out of closet space.
I guess you could also count Kramer from Seinfeld, the man does have kavorka, but he doesnt try especially hard.
Also, an honorable mention should go to Quagmire for having the lowest standards, and to Larry for the greatest lies.
EmoJoe 11-20-2004, 07:18 PM Jesse from Full House
Eric from Boy Meets World
Shawn from Boy Meets World
Fonzie from Happy Days
slackermonkey 11-20-2004, 07:21 PM I agree with both Sam and Joey, but how could you have left off the ultimate sitcom ladies' man -- Fonzie. He'd literally snap his fingers and girls would come running. That's power. I don't think any of the others could boast that.
spunkygirl 11-20-2004, 07:32 PM Eric and Shawn from Boy Meets World
Brian from Wings
Jesse from Full House
Brian Damage 11-21-2004, 01:31 PM Vinnie Barbarino from Welcome Back Kotter
Bobby Wheeler from Taxi
theshark8777 11-21-2004, 02:53 PM What about Schneider?
Captain James T. Kirk from "Star Trek."
He never turned down a chance to shag an alien babe.
;)
MaydayMalonesGirl 11-21-2004, 06:01 PM Sam will always be the number one ladies man.
Jethro Bodine on The Beverly Hillbillies

ThirteenInchEscape 11-22-2004, 03:52 PM I was about to say "Somehow I forgot to put Hawkeye"...I'm surprised that TJL didnt put it ;)
Dr. Jazz 11-22-2004, 05:16 PM I'm gonna have to go with Dan Fielding from Night Court & Dwayne Wayne from A Different World
dlemond 11-22-2004, 05:33 PM From current sitcoms I would go with Charlie from Two and a Half Men.
Total womanizer and his character is always full of good lines and quips.

I don't like to play favorites.
;)
Hawkeye was a big ladies man in the first few seasons, but as the show went on, Hawk kinda lost his touch.
barwars 11-22-2004, 06:12 PM Jack Tripper wanted to be the ladies man.
Larry Dallas was.
Anyways, Sam Malone of Cheers is king.
He's a "happy, horny guy"
ThirteenInchEscape 11-23-2004, 03:41 AM The thing about Jack (and Larry for that matter) is they both dated alot of women that weren't really attractive at all.
Sam also went nuts for some girls that weren't that great looking, but maybe he had already gone through all the great looking ones ;)

sbeamish 04-10-2005, 09:11 AM Fonzie's got to be number one.
Sam Malone from Cheers.
And, ofcourse, I have to mention Hal Walters (Dick Gautier) from Mr. Terrific.
Ohio8 04-23-2005, 04:53 PM You forgot Elliott on Just Shoot Me ! I watched the 1999 episode episode last night where Cheri Oteri was on and went on the double date after obviously getting high on something.

He wanted to be a ladies man, but couldn't.
Looking back.... Frasier was quite the ladies man. He slept with tons of hot women.

Jack wasn't good looking???? What planet are you on? He was sure a lot better looking than that horse-faced Sam Malone!!! Plus, he had all his own hair!!!
TripperFan 04-25-2005, 11:55 AM What about Bob "Bulldog" Briscoe of Frasier?
I always found that funny - especially when I found out that the guy who played him was gay in real life - he was sure good at acting like a ladies' letch!
And yeah, I could never figure out why Frasier got hot, younger women. I don't care if he had money - yeeecccchhhh!!
Raisingdad2004 04-25-2005, 12:19 PM Jack Tripper or Sam Malone.
QuizMasterHussy 04-25-2005, 12:27 PM Will Smith - Fresh Prince
Jack Tripper- Three's Company
Fonzie- Happy Days
Tony- Who's the Boss
TripperFan 04-25-2005, 01:02 PM Actually, I think you misread ThirteenInchEscape's post. It said that the woman Jack and Larry dated weren't all that good-looking. ;)
Naturally, my vote goes to Jack Tripper.
Ah yes - I'm sorry - I see that now! I wondered - Jack Tripper was a cutie!!
;)

catlover79 03-04-2007, 02:58 PM Chano (Gregory Sierra) on Barney Miller. He was always taking girls out dancing on his off-time, and got letters sprayed with perfume sent to him at the precinct. But he was a sweet and kind man who obviously knew how to treat a woman right. :faint: :eyes:
Yooch 03-04-2007, 03:07 PM Sam Malone
Arthur Fonzarelli
Joey Tribiani
(I didn't include Henri, the French guy who was in five episodes of Cheers, because he was not a regular, or well-known character. He was a ladies' man, but I didn't like him because of stealing Kelly, Woody's girlfriend.)
glickmam 03-04-2007, 05:04 PM Jack wasn't good looking???? What planet are you on? He was sure a lot better looking than that horse-faced Sam Malone!!! Plus, he had all his own hair!!!
Uh, TripperFan, ThirteenInchEscape was referring to the women, not to Jack Tripper.

Larry Dallas in Three's Company
"Hawkeye" in M*A*S*H*
Brian in Wings
