Does anyone know what Levitt's middle name
is? In the last episode of Barney Miller,
he makes it clear to inspector Luger that
his name is "Levitt, officer Carl E. Levitt",
but I don't remember hearing him or anyone
else mention his middle name.

I dont think he ever did. But if he did i would take a guess and say its Eugene.

I have only recently started watching Barney Miller and am immpressed with how consistantly funny it is. I saw the last show that Fish appeared in. It was a well written episode. Fish was a funny character but his departure along with Chano allowed other characters to shine like Dietrich and Officer Levitt. The self promoting ways of Levitt makes me laugh.

Levitt, always eager to please, constantly looking for Barney's approving commments, was a great addition to the show.

Can someone help: In what season/episode did Officer Carl Levitt come out as gay? Thanks!
