Dutabi84 11-19-2004, 11:54 PM The Pistons and Pacers? That was AWESOME!!! The best thing I've ever seen. That fan deserved his beat-down given by Ron Artest
Ron, I applaud you :clap
He, Ben Wallace, and Jackson from Indiana will all probably get heavily fined, and suspended. I wonder if any of the punk-ass Piston fans will get in trouble?
Seinatra 11-20-2004, 12:49 AM Are you saying Artest actually went after a fan? I have to find some footage of this.
HuntingtonM15 11-20-2004, 12:53 AM Wow, all of this excitement happening just 2 mins away from me and I had no clue.

They will be showing it on ESPNEWS all night. I can;t believe the ******** ass detroit pistons fans throw things because they lost. I would have did the same thing.
Seinatra 11-20-2004, 01:07 AM Holy S@&T! Thanks for the heads up Dut - I just caught a replay. That was ridiculous all around. I am not sure how it started but it looked like Artest went after the wrong person in the crowd, I saw him get hit with a cup, not sure about before that.
What about those nuts coming out on the court then? It sure didn't look like they had enough security around the court.
Sargent Stewie 11-20-2004, 01:07 AM Man I was watching the game and this useless Brawl juss came up. Artest fouls Big Ben hard, Big Ben pushes Artest, some fan throws a bottle at Artest, Artest goes after the fan and assaults him, Stephen Jackson does the same, All hell broke loose, fans starts throwing **** on the pacers, man it was chaos.

Yea, pushing Artest was uncalled for. Only 45 seconds left being down by 14. Big Ben will probably get suspended for 5 games and a fine. Artest will get like a 10 game suspension and a bigass fine for assaulting with the fans.

I was laughing at Jermaine Oneal trying to fight everybody-LOL There were like 10 fans pouring liquids on Jermaine Oneal at the same time. It was nothing he could do in that situation. Pacers still won and the Pistons fans got their ass beaten

I couldn't tell, from the given camera angles, if he went after the right person. I'd just assume he did, because he looked like he was looking straight at him. Well, hopefully he got the right guy anyway. Otherwise, he beat down some skinnny innocent white kid.
Those were some crazy ass fans, I would be willing to bet 90% of them were under the influence.
HuntingtonM15 11-20-2004, 02:40 AM Now Detroit will be looked at as villains, when that very well could have happened in any city.
bossradio93 11-20-2004, 02:54 AM You can see more photos of the melee here (http://www.sportsline.com/nba/gamecenter/photos/NBA_20041119_IND@DET).

That's a good point, Detroit fans are going to be steriotyped like that for a long time. It could have happened anywhere, but the fact is, it just hasn't for years. Now a few drunk, dumbass fans are going to give them a bad image.
Jim Gray was saying that Artest DID infact, go after the wrong fan.
Sargent Stewie 11-20-2004, 09:59 AM Here is a link to the FULL 12 minute long brawl, everything from beginning to end is in this video: http://www.pacersdigest.com/pacerspistonsfight.wmv
isiahthomas 11-20-2004, 10:28 AM Ron, Jermaine, Stephen threw some serious punches at the fans hahahahahahahahahahaha. White dudes can't box with black dudes. It's a no win situation. LOL@Jamaal Tinsley coming out of the locker room with a dustpan gettin ready to hit some fans hahahahahahahahahahaha. ESPN's John Saunders said that the fans deserved what they got from Ron, Jermaine, Stephen cause they had no business throwing stuff at them & coming onto the court. I agree with that.
Sargent Stewie 11-20-2004, 10:39 AM It's not funny. Kids were left crying there, innocent people got attacked, not a funny situation.
isiahthomas 11-20-2004, 10:43 AM It may not be funny to you but it was funny to me seeing white dudes get knocked the f**k out by Ron, Jermaine, Stephen. They deserved what they got cause they had no business throwing stuff & coming onto the court.
Seinatra 11-20-2004, 10:49 AM I blame Artest - he went into the stands and didn't know who had even thrown the thing. Unless he had been hit before that night and nothing was done about it he has no right to go up in the stands unless he was in actual danger. He got hit with what looked like a paper cup with soda, not a brick. Once he was in the stands, I dont blame other fans for going after him. Anyway - people should know he is crazy by now and not to instigate him.
On the other hand any fan who comes on the court deserves to get knocked out, like that one chubby guy in the Piston's outfit. Apparently the cops thought Artest was doing something wrong because they were ready to pepper spray him.

Boxing??? They were just throwing haymakers. I've seen 5th graders throw better punches than what I saw Jackson throw. I guess then Jackson got what he deserved when he was pulled down and about 10-12 fans piled on him and started throwing. The fans are idiots for throwing stuff. Artest was an idiot for going in the stands. If Artest is such a tough guy why didn't he do something back to Wallace??? Instead of taking on the one who shoved him he goes after some "white dudes" half his size. Looks like Artest got a little scared of Big Ben. And don't throw the "he would have got suspended if he went after Wallace" arguement here. He's going to get suspended now for going after some "white dudes". Be a man Artest and take on Big Ben if you're such a bad man.
isiahthomas 11-20-2004, 12:20 PM I don't know why Ron didn't push Ben back. I was surprised he let Ben push him like that. This incident reminds me of the Browns & Jacksonville game in Cleveland in the late 90's when the fans were so mad at the referees for making bad calls that they were throwing bottles & other stuff at the referees when the game was over. The stuff that they were throwing could've seriously hurt those referees.
TVFactFan 11-20-2004, 12:26 PM Why the hell would Artest get pepper sprayed when fans was coming toward him. What was he supposed to do?
isiahthomas 11-20-2004, 12:33 PM That's a good question. The police are so prejudiced towards blacks anyway.

First of all, Ron Artest is about 6'8'' 220 pounds. He went after a guy probably a foot shorter. I don't understand the whole race thing here..you enjoy seeing white people get their asses kicked, yet the police are the ones being prejudice? They were going after anyone with their pepper spray that was getting involved with the fight. They were trying to get eveyone off the court, and if that meant spraying a player, they were going to spray a player.

I'm talking about after he went back on the floor, oce he did that there was another fan who was trying to attack him. I would think the police would try to pepper spray the FANS and protect THE NBA PLAYERS-lol
TVFactFan 11-20-2004, 06:33 PM I'm just glad someone grabbed Stephen Jackson when he punched that fan in the face because if not, that fan would have been in bad shape today.

It's going to be interesting to see how the Pacers do tonight. They have 8 guys dressed to play, and a couple of them are even hurt.

pna42 11-20-2004, 11:17 PM It was the mook fans that started the real brawl. Those kind of idiot fans deserve to have their tails kicked. I laughed my butt off at every decent punch that a player landed on a fan. And there a few. Fans like that should have their tickets taken away and never let into any type of sports arena every again. Dumba-- fans.

I agree it was mostly the fans that started the brawl. That should've never thrown that bottle. Damn alcholics...and those 2 fatasses on the court. The one that got punched by artest and JO got what he deserved.

I will agree that any fan that goes on the court gets what he deserves. But players do not need to go in the stands. If a fan does something like throwing a beer then let the law handle it. They will be arrested. Now Artest will posibably face some legal charges of his own. Kermit Washinton got a 60 day ban from the NBA for landing a punch on Rudy Tomjonovich. It will be interesting to see how long these guys are gone for.
isiahthomas 11-22-2004, 12:40 PM Dutabi84 & Brian Damage i can bring up race anytime i want to. The police have always been prejudiced towards blacks even when Martin Luther King was marching. This isn't anything new. Why do you think NWA made the song F**k The Police? Why did those racist white cops in LA beat Rodney King like that? There's no excuse for what they did to Rodney. All they had to do was arrest the man instead of beating him like that. Would they have done that to a white man? No. Yes i do enjoy seeing white dudes get knocked the f**k out by black men. Ron Artest, Stephen, Jermaine punching those white dudes was funny as hell to me. I don't know why Ron didn't punch Ben Wallace like that though.

I'd watch that "yes I do enjoy seeing white dudes get knocked the f**k out by black men."
You can't get more racist than that.
Imagine if a white person said the same thing on this board about black dudes getting punched by white players.
Besides every black person on this board screaming bloody murder, you'd see "banned" next to his name in no time.

Dianne3 11-22-2004, 02:20 PM The irony is that IsiahThomas poster complains about racism, yet he is one himself.
isiahthomas 11-22-2004, 03:05 PM I'm not a racist. It's just that ya'll are so sensitive whenever i mention somethin about race. I just hate white people like the Ku Klux Klan & any other white person that hates blacks for no reason when we've done nothin to whites. Blacks have been s**tted on in this country by whites ever since we came to america when we was slaves. The oscars are racist cause they never recognize black actors & actresses who should've won oscars for movies such as Denzel. Denzel won a oscar for Training Day but look at the character he played in that movie. He definitely should've won for Malcolm X, The Hurricane, Cry Freedom, John Q but he got overlooked for positive characters & he wins for a negative character. That goes to show you how racist this country is. Then Halle Berry gets a oscar for a movie where she got naked & had explicit sex when the movie sucked terribly. Did she get recognized for Losing Isaiah, Dorothy Dandridge, Queen, Jungle Fever? No. She gets recognized for a wack character she played in Monster's Ball cause she got naked which is what men wanted to see & she gets screwed by a white racist man in the movie which i'm surprised didn't stir up any controversy. I think the Ron Artest situation is racist cause if it would've been a white basketball player who hit some fans, i bet he wouldn't have gotten suspended for the rest of the season. Rap music always gets a bad rap by white people cause rappers rap about real stuff that happens in black neighborhoods across america but the stuff they talk about gets censored cause white people don't wanna hear the real. That's why rappers like NWA, Ice T, Geto Boys, Paris, Public Enemy, 2 Live Crew, Ice Cube get called controversial cause their music is real & they talk about real issues that white people are too scared to talk about.
GARFIELDKOOL 11-22-2004, 03:26 PM Can't we all just get along?

So, basically you think it isn't racist to say you enjoy seeing white people getting the **** beat out of them? Let's take a close look at the definition of racism-
rac·ism
n.
1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.
As you can see, it's considered to be racism to judge peoples' actions based on their race. It seems to me, you hold a pretty big grudge against white people. I like how you bring up something that happened over 10 years ago for your examples of why you think police are prejudice against blacks. Everything just has to boil down to racism for you, even though great actors such as Tom Hanks, among others, dominate the Oscar world. It's got nothing to do with race, it has everything to do with talent. I saw Monsters Ball, and I think Halle Berry did a fantastic job in that movie. I'm not so sure about those others you listed.
You can't use the race card on the Artest situation, because something like that has never happened before. David Stern is a very fair comissioner, and has always treated each situation the same, without regard to race.
It's time to move forward. I hate the KKK just as much as you do, but assuming all white people are racist isn't going to solve any of the problems in the world.
GARFIELDKOOL 11-22-2004, 03:33 PM I hated I got in the middle of this. By the way, those two fat asses that got KOed on the floor looked puerto rican to me.
isiahthomas 11-22-2004, 03:53 PM Let me apologize then for saying it was funny to see some white people get knocked out by Ron, Jermaine, Stephen. Those 2 dudes that got knocked out on the court by Ron & Jermaine did look puerto rican. Dutabi84 you think Halle did a good job in Monster's Ball? LOL.

Yeah I didn't really know what race they were, didn't really matter I guess.
I thought she was pretty good! She acted the role very well, I thought. Plus she looks really good naked.
GARFIELDKOOL 11-22-2004, 04:31 PM I felt sorry for the first dude who Artest went after. He didn't throw that beer. His beer was still in his hands. His facial reaction was like, "I didn't do it."
isiahthomas 11-22-2004, 04:34 PM LOL@GarfieldKool hahahahahahahahahahahaha. LOL@Halle looks good naked. Yeah she does. First of all, stop going around the censor filter. If you have to swear, just type the word out and leave it so there are nothing but asterisks.
Second, I have noticed that others are getting tired of you making questionable posts about people's races. If you thought it was funny, then that's your opinion. But it's one of those things that should be kept to yourself. If someone who was white saw someone who is black saying something like "I like seeing black people punching white people", of course they are going to get offended. What would you think if someone who is caucasian said the opposite? Sometimes you have to look at the whole picture.
I know how you feel about the Rodney King incident. I took a criminal justice class last spring. It sucks that the cops were found not guilty when they should have been. They shouldn't have even beaten him up. But just because the cops were found "not guilty" does not mean they weren't penalized for their actions. After the verdict, the cops had their badges taken away and they are no longer allowed to be policemen anymore. All they had worked for during their careers and their lives was thrown away. It would have been better if they had been thrown in prison but it didn't happen and I thought it was unjust. But at least they got punished and can't do what they had always wanted to do for a living.
bandito 11-22-2004, 06:52 PM Well Isiah, your doing a good job at showing just how racist you are. All I know is theres gonna be a few black players making few white people very rich in court.
Dutabi84 11-24-2004, 12:57 AM Okay, so David Harrison, a first year center for the Pacers, was just found to have decked an old ass guy (probably 60's) and will not be pennalized. And the NBA is saying he won't get pennalized, because of where he was on the court. I don't understand this. A punch is a punch, whether it's on the court, or in the "vomitorium." If O'Neal is getting 25 games, so should Harrison.
