Has anybody remembered the "Dragnet" spoof called "Christmas Dragnet"? That was so funny. They played it on CBS-FM and on Stan Freberg's "When Radio Was" every Christmas. I have song on CD.:)

They played it on CBS-FM and on Stan Freberg's "When Radio Was" every Christmas. I have song on CD.:) I have always loved DRAGNET, satirist Stan Freberg, and (my favorite) voice actor Daws Butler. The CD "THE VERY BEST OF STAN FREBERG" (1998) contains all three Dragnet spoofs: "St. George and the Dragonet," "Little Blue Riding Hood," and "Christmas Dragnet." Funny, funny stuff. Stan said, in his auto- biography "IT ONLY HURTS WHEN I LAUGH," that even Jack Webb loved the first one ("St. George ..."). I highly recommend both the CD and the book. |
