I don't think so. Mr Furley did fine by himself. But during the last season, just to keep his character fresh, they should have given him a steady woman. What does anyone else think?

View Full Version : Should Mr. Furley should have been given a wife? GARFIELDKOOL 11-18-2004, 11:44 AM I don't think so. Mr Furley did fine by himself. Janet McFarland 11-18-2004, 06:20 PM I agree.. it was fun watching RF hit on women and getting in trouble  But I think he should've had a steady girlfriend for the last season, just to make his character happy :D MoonFlower 11-18-2004, 10:07 PM Originally posted by Janet McFarland I don't think so. Mr.Furley was a player. :D  pilotguy 11-18-2004, 10:11 PM When Furley first replaced The Ropers as the "Three's Company" landlord, Lana was also a new series regular. Furley's "swinger-wanna-be" bachelor status gave him the opportunity to constantly hit on Lana....but once she left the series, they never replaced her with another female regular for Furley to pursue. This lack of a new love interest made Furley seem like a lonely old man and gave his character sort of a sadness. It wouldn't affect the 8th season at all because the whole 8th season was screwed up from the beginning  MoonFlower 11-18-2004, 11:28 PM Originally posted by Janet McFarland the whole 8th season was screwed up from the beginning  word it was. I Love John Ritter 11-19-2004, 12:23 AM Originally posted by Janet McFarland Yeah he was but it wouldn't hurt to get him a steady girlfriend, or a girlfriend, at least. They should of had her as a steady girlfriend for Furley and they could later get married in the last episodes! jjlover 11-19-2004, 03:11 PM Originally posted by ~*~ I Love TC ~*~ not for me i always found him hilarious. :D  Me too!! I think he did really fine by himself throughout the series, but a steady girlfriend towards the end wouldn't have hurt at all.
